Recently, with the official announcement of Amazon Prime Day , many sellers have been troubled by the fact that some of Amazon's warehouses have refused to accept goods due to overcrowding.
However, Amazon's system occasionally has some minor bugs, which makes sellers even more annoyed. Now, some sellers have encountered the most undesirable situation - suspension of delivery!
Seller's shipment suspended
Recently, some sellers reported that their shipments had been suspended by Amazon .
It is reported that Amazon scanned the seller's four FBA warehouse boxes. The image evidence provided by Amazon to the seller clearly showed that these were 13x13x13 cubic boxes , but Amazon's scanning results showed that the size of each box was 135 * 119 * 135. Therefore , Amazon suspended the seller's shipment until the problem was resolved.
Although the seller also raised an objection, he was still notified that he would have to wait 7 days before the status could be restored!
This situation also happened to other sellers! The box was clearly 16 * 16 * 17 in size, and the photo of the box even clearly showed 16 * 16 * 17 written on the side ( the actual measurement was 16.4 * 15.8 * 17.2 ), but it was still scanned as 164 * 158 * 172 .
After calling seller support and being told that a special team was needed to handle it, and asking to speak to the special team, he was told that he could not talk over the phone and could only argue via email. In the end, the seller returned with no results and was forced to suspend work for the next 7 working days.
Many buyers are worried about this, and some sellers said that they have 15-20 boxes that were scanned as 10 times the actual size. 24 inches were scanned as 240 inches, and 11 inches were scanned as 110 inches . Now they don’t know what to do.
The final source of the problem
Based on these circumstances, it can be basically determined that there is a bug in the programming of Amazon's scanning system , which increases the actual size of the box by 10 times.
According to the preliminary common points of these sellers, this problem all originated from the MDW2 warehouse in Joliet, Illinois, USA , so sellers in the MDW2 warehouse need to pay more attention.
However, unlike the above sellers, some sellers also encountered this problem and received fines and warnings , but they chose to open a case , which eventually led Amazon to admit their mistakes, lift the warnings, and compensate them . There are also very strong sellers who sent appeals and will win the case.
Sellers in other warehouses don’t have to worry too much, after all, this is only a small probability event. But as one of the sellers said, they are not upset because of the error in the Amazon system. But Amazon automatically cuts off the seller’s inventory transportation ability without warning, review or attempt to check the amount , which does hurt the seller’s heart.
So hopefully Amazon can fix this obvious mistake as soon as possible and avoid the same problem from happening again . Amazon Seller Shipping |
