Some time ago, Amazon officially launched the FBA inventory liquidation function. Sellers can voluntarily choose to submit inventory liquidation and hand over their backlog of goods to Amazon for processing, and receive 5% to 20% of the sales price of their products .
Many sellers feel that Amazon’s FBA liquidation plan is not worth it because the rate of return is too low, and Amazon FBA liquidation charges a certain fee. Moreover, Prime Day is approaching, and many sellers hope to use this opportunity to sell more products. Amazon UK announced a limited-time discount on its FBA clearance policy on June 14, stating that it will waive FBA clearance fees in Germany, Poland, the Czech Republic, France, Spain and Italy until September 7 , 2021. The fee reduction applies to any clearance orders submitted before 11:59 pm CET on September 7, 2021 .
It should be noted that although this announcement was made by Amazon UK, Amazon FBA clearance does not apply to inventory stored in the UK.
In the past year, a large number of new sellers have flocked to Amazon, product competition has intensified, new sellers' sales have been sluggish, and coupled with inventory adjustments, many old sellers have also been under increased pressure. At this time, Amazon's FBA clearance plan was officially launched. Even though the profit is only 5% to 10%, which makes people call it "charity", some sellers still choose the liquidation plan.
If sellers want to liquidate inventory in Germany, Poland, the Czech Republic, France, Spain and Italy , they can consider taking advantage of this preferential policy. However, it is recommended to wait until Prime Day is over before deciding. After all, this offer lasts until September 7 , and once the liquidation order is submitted, it cannot be canceled.
Amazon US FBA clearance plan has no discount yet
What is known now is that Amazon has only implemented a limited-time discount on FBA clearance fees in some European countries , and Amazon’s US site has not launched any FBA clearance fee discount activities.
Previously, Amazon's US site announced at the end of May that the FBA clearance plan was launched and would start charging fees from June 1. The announcement reads: Starting from June 1, 2021, Amazon will charge FBA clearance fees, which will be incurred when the goods leave the fulfillment center. Even if the seller submits a clearance order before June 1, but his inventory is shipped to the clearance dealer on or after June 1, the clearance fee will be charged.
For Amazon sellers, it is important to pay attention to new features and promotions on the platform in a timely manner, and make choices that suit you according to the situation to maximize your profits.
