British Easter spending budgets rise! Searches for holiday items surge

Recently, online shopping website Very released the latest research on British people's shopping during Easter.

Data shows that during this year's Easter, the consumption budget of British people has increased significantly compared with previous years. Most people will spend an average of 818 pounds during Easter , and nearly one-third of them plan to spend more than 1,000 pounds.

In 2022, the UK will completely relax and cancel all epidemic prevention measures. This is the first time since the epidemic that the British have the opportunity to celebrate Easter without any restrictions, so many British people have begun to put plans to go abroad on the agenda.

The study found that 12% of Britons plan to go abroad for the Easter holidays, while 25% will choose to holiday in the UK . 47% plan to stay at home for the holidays , and 16% are still undecided about how to go on holiday .

Every Easter, a large number of holiday-related hot products emerge on major shopping platforms , and this year is no exception.

Combined with the latest data from the Very website from February 15 to March 15, the popularity of holiday supplies remains high, and the British search volume for holiday necessities such as suitcases, swimwear and beach towels has increased significantly .

These three categories saw an increase of 100% compared to data from the UK when it was in lockdown last year .

Meanwhile, Britons are spending significantly more on holiday items such as clothes and sunscreen, with each person spending an average of £80.

This year, British people's interest in holiday necessities such as travel bags, beach towels and swimwear has surged , which is directly related to the strict control of the epidemic in the past two years.

But many people are still worried about the impact of the epidemic.

75% of British holidaymakers said they were concerned that a potential surge in coronavirus cases could affect their travel plans, with only 23% claiming it would have no impact on their travel plans .

This year's Easter falls on April 17 (Sunday) . For cross-border e-commerce sellers, the period around Easter is an important node for launching marketing activities .

Combined with the recent GlobalData survey data of the British , British shoppers will spend 1.7 billion pounds at Easter 2022 , so sellers must seize business opportunities in the UK market , understand customer pain points, and make product selections and layouts in advance to achieve better sales results .
