Top 10 Russian search products in 2021 released

Avito is the most popular classified advertising website in Russia and one of the most visited websites in Russia. Recently, the platform conducted a survey on the searches made by Russians on the website in 2021 .

The most searched products last year were bicycles, pets and home furniture . The top ten most popular products were: bicycles, cats and dogs, tables, TVs, retro products, sofas, refrigerators, barbecues, mirrors and carpets.

In 2020, sofas topped the search list, a ranking that was replaced by bicycles last year. In 2021 , searches for bicycles increased by 19% over the previous year, and an average bicycle can be purchased for 8,000 rubles, which is 33% more expensive than in 2020.

In 2021, Russians not only organized bicycle rides, but also enjoyed collecting retro products from the Soviet era. Accustomed to home isolation, many people decided to enrich their leisure time by starting a new hobby, and the demand for Soviet-era goods increased by 47% compared to 2020, with an average selling price of 500 rubles.

Compared to the top 10 in 2020, Russians are starting to consider getting a cat or dog more often in 2021. Cats are considered for purchase 10% more often in 2021 and dogs 5% more often than in 2020. Across Russian sites, pets are mostly given away for free between people .

In addition, the trend of home improvement has intensified since 2020, and people are more interested in furniture, interior accessories and textiles . For example, tables are very commonly used. Their popularity has increased by 34% since 2020, and the average cost is 5,000 rubles, which is 11% more expensive than in 2020.

Because people are often at home, the demand for televisions has also increased significantly , with purchases increasing by 69% compared to 2021. In order to balance work and leisure, consumers began to explore new types of sofas. In 2021, the demand for "family beds " increased by 22% , with an average cost of about 12,000 rubles, 20% higher than in 2020 .

An equally important place to stay at home comfortably is the kitchen area. In 2021, consumers' interest in refrigerators increased by 22% compared to 2020, and their average cost was 6,500 rubles, an increase of 8% over the previous year. At the same time, Russians are becoming more and more interested in barbecues , and the demand for barbecues increased by 6% in 2021.
