On October 28 , Tmall Global delivered another batch of Musang King, the "king of durian" directly from Malaysia, to China through the cold chain to replenish the stock for Tmall Double 11. It is reported that the Musang King sold on Tmall Global has a guaranteed four-piece flesh, which is delivered to the home through the cold chain. After inspection, the missing pieces will be compensated.
In order to let domestic consumers have their first bite of durian this winter , Tmall Global reached a cooperation with the Malaysian durian industry belt on the eve of Double 11 under the "National Hot Selling" plan, planning to contract 5,000 Malaysian Musang King durian trees in one year. During Double 11, more than 100 tons of whole durian arrived at the port, and the lowest price of 3-4 kg Musang King was more than 230 yuan, which was almost the lowest in the entire network.

Durian, known as the "king of fruits", has become increasingly popular among consumers in recent years. According to Ma Zhencai, the Malaysian Consul General in Guangzhou, frozen "Musang King" durians in shells from Malaysia entered the Chinese market for the first time in June 2019. Data shows that more than 80% of Malaysia's frozen durians are currently sold to the Chinese market, and the scale will continue to expand in the future.
"Unlike Thai durian, which is picked before it's ripe, every Malaysian Musang King durian sold on Tmall International is a fresh fruit that has naturally ripened on the tree. Within 24 hours of falling, the fresh fruit is quickly frozen in liquid nitrogen at minus 100 degrees Celsius to preserve freshness, and then transported from Malaysia to China through the cold chain at below -18 degrees Celsius." The head of the China region of Tmall International merchant Durian Power told reporters that the frozen whole durian can be eaten after thawing, and its taste is comparable to ice cream.

It is understood that not only Musang King durian, but also special varieties such as Black Thorn, Red Shrimp, and Gourd, which have won the Malaysian durian championship many times, can also be purchased on Tmall International during this year's Double 11.

This year, on Tmall Double 11, Australian milk, Dubai camel milk, American nuts, Belgian chocolate and other industries also prepared in advance and brought a wealth of good products.
