When talking about Russia, besides being a "fierce fighting nation", the most profound impression is the long winter. How do Russians usually spend the cold winter?
Ahead of the seasonal cool-down, analysts at AliExpress Russia, together with Research Me, conducted a survey into what kind of weather Russians are looking forward to this winter and how they prefer to keep warm during the winter.
The survey results show that almost half of Russians are looking forward to a long and cold winter; at the same time, 45% of respondents expect the first snow in Russia to fall in November this year; another one-third of respondents believe that the first snow should fall in October.
In terms of heating methods, 41% of respondents said that the most popular way to keep warm outdoors is to get up. Another common choice is to wear multiple layers of clothing. More than half of Russian consumers said that they often wear hats and thermal underwear in winter. There is a large market demand for these warm clothing in Russia.
At home, Russians prefer to wear warm pajamas or wrap themselves in two thick blankets. In addition, 18% of respondents said they would use heating equipment, and 14% said they could use pets as heaters.
In addition, heating equipment is also becoming popular among Russian consumers. More than one-third of Russians plan to buy heating equipment this year, of which 40% plan to spend 2,000 to 5,000 rubles on such equipment, and 19% of respondents said they could pay 50,000 to 10,000 rubles for heating equipment.
In terms of the choice of heating equipment, the most popular heating device is the oil radiator, and about a quarter of Russians use this technology in cold weather. In second place are fan heaters, which are chosen by 18% of respondents. In addition, electric convectors are also popular, used by about 10% of respondents.
AliExpress statistics confirm Russian consumers' interest in such goods. Demand for electric heaters increased 2.4 times before the autumn cold snap . In most cases, users chose portable table heaters and plush electric blankets. Demand for floor heating products also increased 1.4 times.
As Russia is about to enter extremely cold weather, Russian consumers' demand for heating products will continue to grow. Sellers in related markets can make more preparations and provide consumers with more products that meet their needs. Russian Market Heating equipment |
