European Sendcloud raises €150 million

E-commerce in Europe is developing rapidly. In addition to the obvious increase in sales of e-commerce sellers, the related industrial chain has also grown accordingly, and logistics has made huge profits.

Sendcloud is a European e-commerce logistics service platform headquartered in the Netherlands. It recently received 150 million euros in its Series C financing, led by SoftBank, L Catterton and HPE Growth. With this funding, Sendcloud will accelerate its expansion in Europe.

The platform is currently active in eight European countries , including major e-commerce markets: Germany, France and the United Kingdom. Thanks to the development of its e-commerce business, Sendcloud has achieved significant performance breakthroughs in the international parcel market.

Sendcloud currently has 400 employees at its headquarters in Eindhoven , and the company said in an interview that it hopes to use the funds to hire another 250 employees as it continues to expand its global influence .

Sendcloud 's service scope covers more than 20,000 retailers in Europe . Due to the epidemic, e-commerce and parcel delivery businesses have developed rapidly. Driven by this wave, the platform has new growth opportunities and has been able to obtain new financing to accelerate its development.

According to Sendcloud , in 2020, Sendcloud shipped more than twice as many parcels as the previous year. Overall, the parcel market grew by 13 % in the same year. As the e-commerce market continues to grow and the impact of the post-pandemic has not diminished , Sendcloud will also continue to grow with momentum.

Although it is only a relatively small market in Europe, Dutch e-commerce is also growing significantly.

Recently, a local clothing brand has raised millions of dollars in financing. The company is a leader in the clothing market in Belgium and the Netherlands, selling everything from uniforms to safety shoes and protective equipment. It also said, " We have a market potential of 10 billion euros in Europe . In the next few years, our goal is to achieve a profit of 100 million euros, which is absolutely possible. "

European e-commerce is in a period of prosperity. In addition to the large markets of Britain, Germany and France, other countries also have potential. Sellers can "cast a wide net and make multiple layouts" according to market conditions .
