Recently, the editor learned from the official Amazon seller forum that a seller was defrauded by a buyer and an Amazon employee.
The seller "AKZ_Technologies" said that he sent the goods to the buyer via FedEx, and the buyer made an AZ Claim after receiving the goods. What is infuriating is that in the communication with the buyer, he admitted to the seller that he wanted to keep the goods and get a refund.
Subsequently, Amazon's AZ Claim made a ruling in favor of the buyer. The buyer said that his friend's nephew worked in the customer service department of Amazon Canada, and his nephew suggested that they form a team, mainly for high-value goods such as electronics and hardware tools, and earn refund fees by filing AZ claims after ordering.
"AKZ_Technologies" said that the current problem is how to work with Amazon and consumers to prevent the frequent occurrence of fraudulent buyers. Criminals have found loopholes in Amazon's return and refund system. Although sellers have repeatedly been on guard and provided corresponding legal documents for the products, they are powerless to deal with this problem. Currently, due to the loopholes in the AZ Claim system, a large number of sellers' accounts and capital chains are vulnerable and at risk.
In response to this problem, many sellers felt the same way and responded in the forum.
Seller A: Yes, it is a scam market and Amazon is helping them do this.
Seller B: I would report this to law enforcement. If he clearly outlined that he received the item and filed a claim later, he is committing fraud.
Seller C: Amazon doesn’t care, even though the tracking and everything else shows the buyer received the item, Amazon favors the buyer.
In fact, this is not the first time that Amazon has encountered such a problem. As early as last year, there were problems such as Amazon employees privately selling customer information and warehouse employees stealing goods. This year, many criminals have taken advantage of loopholes in Amazon's AZ claims system to defraud property. Amazon has continuously updated its return and refund policies, and even introduced an automatic return and refund function that does not require the seller's consent, which undoubtedly provides criminals with a way to defraud sellers.
As Amazon's business continues to expand, it should also improve its own systems and effectively protect the rights of sellers, rather than leaving it alone and allowing fraudulent buyers to wantonly destroy a good trading environment. Amazon Seller AZ |
