Home products grow dramatically! Mexico market outlook looks good

According to data from Linio, a Mexican e-commerce platform , the growth rate of home furnishing products on the platform reached 90% in the second quarter , an astonishing growth rate. As for the reason for such rapid growth, the person in charge of the platform said that it was mainly because the epidemic gave consumers more time to focus on house decoration, furniture additions and decoration, etc.

Consumers in the Mexican market mainly choose home decorations and furnishings, such as storage boxes, desks, etc. Among the home products on Amazon Mexico, small products such as smart plugs, door protectors, dust covers, screwdrivers, etc. are also very popular.

The Mexican market has seen astonishing growth in this category of products, and this is foreshadowed. Mexico is the second largest economy in Latin America, and its online retail market ranks third in Latin America, accounting for 27% of Latin American market sales. Last year, its population was close to 130 million, and sales exceeded 18 billion. In terms of consumers, online shopping groups are mainly young people. According to relevant statistics, the number of online shoppers is expected to reach more than 77 million by 2025.

In terms of consumer product selection, local consumers are more inclined to diversify their choices of clothing, household products, electronic smart devices, and cosmetics, with clothing and footwear still accounting for the majority. However, it should be noted that the Mexican market, like the entire Latin American market, is more favored by localized e-commerce platforms. Currently, Meikeduo ranks first in Mexico, followed by Amazon, Best Buy and other platforms. In addition, local consumers are very concerned about product prices.

Mexico’s Independence Day and Christmas are coming soon, and major platforms in the market will launch many big promotions at that time, which is also a good opportunity for Mexican sellers to increase their orders.

While everyone is paying attention to the European and American markets, Latin American markets such as Brazil and Mexico are quietly bursting with potential, but sellers do not seem to be very fond of Mexico. But it has to be admitted that the entire Latin American market is currently growing rapidly in purchasing power and the market prospects are good.
