Amazon provides MCF service for BigCommerce independent station sellers

Recently, Amazon announced that it will provide MCF services to BigCommerce independent website sellers . This move shows Amazon's determination to develop third-party delivery business and also shows its increasingly fierce competition with UPS and FedEx .

BigCommerce, the independent website building platform, is bringing Amazon’s multi-channel delivery   The (MCF) service is integrated into its own platform, providing BigCommerce 's independent station sellers with the same service options as Amazon's (FBA) service users.

BigCommerce 's independent website sellers can send goods to Amazon's operation center, and Amazon will provide delivery services to buyers.

" Amazon's MCF service will help our sellers operate more efficiently, " said Sharon Gee, general manager of BigCommerce omnichannel .

Multi-Channel Fulfillment (MCF) is a program under Amazon Logistics (FBA) . With Multi-Channel Fulfillment, Amazon stores the seller's inventory in Amazon's fulfillment centers. When sellers sell products on multiple platforms, Amazon will sort, pack and deliver the products to buyers.

Sellers can use the tools in their accounts to create multi-channel delivery shipments to Amazon and submit orders for Amazon to deliver, as well as manage customer service for these orders. With multi-channel delivery, sellers can scale their business and properly handle the surge in orders during peak sales seasons. Sellers can also provide buyers with next-day and two-day delivery services through MCF .

With Multi-Channel Fulfillment, sellers can choose to have the buyer return the goods to themselves, or return them to an Amazon fulfillment center and then return them to their own inventory. Sellers can request a return of inventory at any time.

In addition, sellers using the MCF service can use Multi-Channel Fulfillment to automatically deliver Amazon Logistics inventory.

An analysis article states that the MCF service supports independent site sellers to track shipment and delivery status in real time during transactions. Sellers can control transportation costs, including the costs of picking up, packaging and transportation, without high surcharges.

Rick Watson, founder and CEO of e-commerce consulting firm RMW Commerce   (Rick Watson) believes that with FedEx and UPS restricting corporate customers from paying premiums, Amazon's MCF service will undoubtedly be of great appeal to BigCommerce 's independent station sellers.
