Walmart and Justice Partner to Help Support Back-to-School Shopping Season

Walmart and Justice Partner to Help Support Back-to-School Shopping Season

On July 15, Walmart announced a partnership with the fashion brand Justice. Through this partnership, Justice will have more than 140 products for sale in 2,400 Walmart stores and Walmart.com, covering a variety of categories such as clothing, jewelry accessories, bedding, backpacks, stationery, etc.

As it is the back-to-school season, Walmart's move will bring more popular and high-quality new products to young girls, helping the back-to-school shopping season.

As a trendy fashion brand, Justice is known for its cutting-edge Tween series of clothing and accessories, mainly targeting young girls. It is reported that in the summer of 2020, as Ascenan Retail Group, the former parent company of Justice, declared bankruptcy, Justice closed 826 offline stores.

"It is a very correct decision for the Justice brand to cooperate with Walmart," said Ralph Gindy, president of Blue Star Alliance (Justice's current parent company). "We hope that more consumers can grow with the Justice brand."

Indeed, the cooperation between Walmart and Justice is a win-win choice. Justice needs a broader market, and Walmart needs more fashion brands to settle in to accelerate its development in the fashion category.

Justice was previously sold in 1,000 brand stores, but is now sold in 2,400 Walmart stores and Walmart.com. This is exciting news for Justice's loyal consumers, who can now more easily choose their favorite products.

Denise Incandela, Walmart's vice president of apparel and private brands, said: "Walmart has been working hard to expand its fashion category to provide consumers with a more comprehensive and high-quality range of trendy goods at affordable prices."

In the past few years, Walmart has welcomed more than 1,000 domestic brands to its platform , providing consumers with more choices.   Such as Reebok, Celebrity Pink , Champion , Kendall + Kylie and Justice, which just established a partnership yesterday . And it has developed some private fashion brands, such as Time and True , Terra & Sky , Wonder Nation and George . These brands will be a great boost to the development of Walmart's fashion category.

According to the survey, total back-to-school spending for K-12 students is expected to increase by 16% year-on-year to $32.5 billion this year . Although the market environment is unpredictable, consumers are generally optimistic about the economy. For the back-to-school shopping season, both Walmart and other retailers should make more preparations.
