During Ramadan 2021 , Indonesian e-commerce giant Tokopedia sold more than 100,000 different products in one hour , showing that this platform is extremely popular among Indonesian people. It is reported that during Ramadan , the three most popular categories of goods on the Tokopedia platform are furniture and equipment, health and body care , and fashion products . Ekhel Chandra Wijaya recently revealed the huge growth in a specific category of fashion products. Ekhel Chandra Wijaya , senior director of external communications at Tokopedia , said that among all categories of products, the transaction volume of Muslim fashion products was almost four times the monthly average in 2021. On the other hand, parcel transactions on Tokopedia also increased by more than 3 times during Tokopedia’s “Ramadan Parcel” campaign . Tokopedia also facilitates the purchase of legally certified products through the Tokopedia Salam ecosystem , making it easier for people to buy halal-certified products through the Tokopedia Salam ecosystem . This will significantly increase the volume of transactions for small and medium-sized businesses during Ramadan. Rendang Den Lapeh, one of the SMEs selling food on Tokopedia, saw its transaction volume increase nearly sixfold during Ramadan 2021. This convenience is the result of Tokopedia’s collaboration with the Halal Products Assurance Agency (BPJPH), which is the government’s official halal certificate-issuing agency, and the Indonesian Ulema Council (LPPO), which is the Halal Inspection Agency (LPH). Ekhel Chandra Wijaya said same-day delivery is the main service consumers can enjoy when shopping on Tokopedia . Ekhel Chandra Wijaya said: “Our internal data shows that same-day delivery or instant delivery is one of the key services we offer to meet the shopping needs of consumers during Ramadan . By providing this service , we can help consumers save a lot of time cumulatively. Ekhel Chandra Wijaya added that donations and Waqf collected on the Tokopedia platform reached IDR 13 billion due to increasing demand from consumers due to their growing enthusiasm for online shopping at home, and the increasing number of charities. For the convenience of worship, people can also use the "Digital Quran" and "Prayer Times" features on Tokopedia Salam. Ekhel Chandra Wijaya concluded : " Since the first launch, the monthly active users of "Prayer Times" have increased by nearly 12 times, while the monthly active users of "Digital Quran" have increased by more than 35 times .
