Sales continue to soar, and home appliances are selling like hot cakes overseas!

Recently, the General Administration of Customs released China 's foreign trade data for the first four months. In the first four months, China's exports were 1.71 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 22.2% , a month-on-month increase of 10.1% , and an increase of 31.6% over the same period in 2019 .

In the first four months , China exported 3.79 trillion yuan of mechanical and electrical products , up 36.3%, accounting for 59.9% of the total export value ; exported 288.7 billion yuan of clothing and clothing accessories , up 41% year-on-year; exported 285.65 billion yuan of textiles including masks, up 9.5% year-on-year; exported 186.96 billion yuan of plastic products, up 42.6% year-on-year.

In addition, the General Administration of Customs recently released data on the first quarter's "hot-selling" export products - home appliances . Over the past decade, the home appliance market has been in a stable development period. As the epidemic spreads around the world, stable production capacity has brought dividends to home appliance exports .

It can also be seen from the recent financial reports of major brands that the sales of home appliances overseas are still very good.

It is understood that household appliances maintained rapid growth in the first quarter of this year, with exports of bread machines increasing by 84.9% year-on-year, electric ovens increasing by 112.5% year-on-year, and electric kitchenware (105.8%), blenders (98%), freezers (75%) and other products also experiencing significant growth.

In addition, the export of small household appliances for environmental cleaning also showed an upward trend. Popular categories include vacuum cleaners ( 84.4%), dry cleaners (2892.6%), dishwashers (70.3%), air purifiers (170.7%), water purifiers (87.3%), humidifiers (92.3%) and electric frying pans (110.1%).

In the first quarter of this year, China's air conditioner exports entered the traditional peak season, continuing the previous growth trend. The export volume of air conditioners, which are highly related to outdoor travel and commercial use, increased by 19.9% year-on-year. Although other products such as electric irons (14%) and hand dryers (18.9%) also resumed growth, the growth rate was relatively low.

Affected by the epidemic, overseas consumers have a great demand for home appliances, and Chinese-made products have been strongly recognized by overseas consumers. Many companies have even experienced a surge in orders.

However, due to factors such as the sharp rise in raw material costs and the increase in exchange rates, corporate profits are being eroded, and competition among home appliance companies will further differentiate in 2021.

However, as the overseas epidemic gradually eases in the second half of the year, some countries will cancel fiscal subsidies for residents, and consumer spending will decrease. Coupled with the high base factor in the second half of 2020, the growth rate of home appliance exports is likely to decline, and sellers should also be mentally prepared!
