Recently, the remote working model has swept the cross-border recruitment circle. Can one person manage ten companies and get a monthly salary of 50,000 yuan ? Recruiters, are you scared?
Recently, the demand for jobs has been far from meeting the supply. According to the feedback from the recruitment website, Amazon's job demand was 150,000 last year , but this year it has doubled to 300,000. Sellers sent out 50 invitations, but only a few operators responded or came for interviews. It is difficult to recruit people, and now there is a new situation - job seekers want to work remotely or work remotely for a month before going back to work . Is there such a shortage of jobs? What is going on?
“Remote work”, is it a new trend or a job search scam?
Many cross-border sellers have encountered this situation, but they are all confused: "Is this the latest way of working?"
A seller encountered such a problem when recruiting. The job seeker wanted: " I want to do remote full-time operations for the time being, and I can go out to work after a short probation period. " When the seller asked the reason, the reply was: " It will probably be like this in the future. The operation itself is convenient, and you just log in to the background to operate. What matters is your ability and results. "
Basically, every recruiter encounters a similar situation: the job seeker asks you directly at the beginning, can you work from home for a month? Or work remotely. When asked why, the job seeker says that there are family matters , they are not in Shenzhen, they need to adapt, they need to learn new ways of working, etc. This routine is summarized by the seller as a "job scam."
This confused the recruiter. How could he trust such a person when they hadn't even met face to face during the probation period?
One seller said bluntly: "Isn't this just a way to get your company's product information?" More than one seller believes that remote work is a trick. "One possibility is that your competitors want to destroy your store, and the other possibility is that they know what you sell well, take your products and sales information, and then quietly run away."
Some sellers even joked: “Isn’t this just one person managing 10 companies and earning 50,000 yuan a month?” What sellers can’t stand is that remote workers don’t know how many accounts are being operated behind the scenes, which is troublesome and unsafe.
Moreover, remote work can easily be associated with agent operation. A seller revealed: “Isn’t remote work just a trick of agent operation? It’s just part-time operation. Are all the agent operators looking for jobs now?” According to the editor, a factory owner previously found an agent to work remotely for a month. Although the money was paid, the performance was still mediocre, and no one knew what the agent did during the remote work.
One seller's words hit the heart of many people: "It's not that we deny remote work. We also had employees who worked remotely for a period of time before, but we must make sure that they are not operating many accounts at the same time."
If you really want to break this pattern, at least you should meet the person in person, sign a contract, and know his/her name. In addition, you should also ask the other party to submit daily work tasks on time and verify the results. But if you really don’t trust them, you should just ignore them and report them directly. A factory owner was recruited by a scammer and lost 240,000 yuan in wages in half a year
In fact, it is not uncommon for sellers to encounter scammers when recruiting. It is good to be able to see through the scammers on the spot, but some sellers are fooled by the perfect "acting skills" and wonderful resumes of the applicants .
Employees from Internet giants are always sought after by technology companies. The same is true in the cross-border circle, where operations from large sales companies are very popular.
Some scammers take advantage of the sellers' mentality and use a fake resume claiming to have made money to cheat people everywhere.
I have heard a seller in the industry say this before:
A factory owner hired an operator who was said to be from a well-known retail company in Guangzhou, and wanted him to run an independent website. The salary was 40,000 yuan per month .
But half a year passed and the independent website had not taken off at all, so the factory owner fired the people.
However, a shocking thing happened. When the doubtful factory owner called the relevant personnel of the above-mentioned big seller to confirm whether the company had such an employee before, he got an unexpected answer - "No!"
Some people may find it unbelievable when seeing this, and at the same time sigh that today's job applicants are too rampant!
But what is even more terrifying is that behind the scenes, there are people who take pride in such scams and spread them everywhere.
Recently, the editor saw a video on a certain audio platform claiming to have “3 steps to earn a monthly salary of 30,000 yuan”.
In the video, a man talked freely, saying that this method does not require a high level of education or strong abilities, and that it has been successfully tested on a friend of his.
The three steps he mentioned include :
1. First, find a company that is ranked first in a small category and work there. 2. Become a small supervisor by flattering others. 3. Find companies ranked fifth to tenth in the industry for interviews.
He explained the trick this way :
"These companies have an extreme admiration for the industry's top companies and have been imitating and plagiarizing them for a long time. It is a big deal for a manager from the industry's top company to come for an interview."
“You must ask your boss for a direct interview and release all the energy you have accumulated in your previous company within half an hour to completely stun him.”
"Don't be shy when your boss asks about salary. Ask for a base salary of 30,000 yuan right away. Don't accept a probation period or bargaining."
"After you get in, just bring the same way you did before. If you succeed, you'll be very successful. If you fail, the new boss will find out that you are not capable. It will take at least three to five months before he fires you and you have to pay three times your salary, a total of 200,000 yuan."
When recruiting, sellers are confused by these job seekers
When it comes to recruitment, many sellers wish they had a pair of sharp eyes to distinguish the authenticity of job seekers, but they don't have this skill. But there is a saying that goes, experience comes from lessons.
I don't need to say much about how hot the recruitment market is this year. People in the industry can feel it. Behind this hot scene, sellers have also seen all kinds of job seekers.
Previously, a seller said that he encountered an "interesting" thing when recruiting . According to him, this incident made him deeply realize that many of the resumes he had encountered before were "watered down".
It is reported that the seller received a resume on a recruitment website. The resume showed that the job applicant had worked in a company he knew for 3 months. So he went to the other party's leader to inquire, and got a shocking reply: he had only come to me for an interview before.
" This is a bit exaggerated. Interview = 3 months of work experience . " said the seller.
It has to be said that sellers have suffered a heavy blow in terms of recruitment this year. Not only are the resumes of job seekers inflated, but those who are hired are also short-lived.
Not long ago, a seller complained that a girl joined his company. Before coming, she took the initiative to find her supervisor to understand the work content and direction. Afterwards, she found him to confirm and expressed her demands. But what was shocking was that this girl left the same day she joined the company, in less than 8 hours. recruitment operations |
