Still rising! Air freight prices to the US skyrocket...

Recently, many sellers have reported that the price of air delivery from the United States has been soaring. If you think that it is exaggerated to change it every day, some freight forwarders will say that you may have to wait and see, because the price of air delivery now changes so much in a day!

In addition to the increase in air delivery prices in the United States, Europe has recently been targeting textiles from all aspects, including sea, land, and air. This has caused some logistics companies to urgently stop accepting textiles, and the related sellers are having difficulty selling their goods, and are very disappointed!

In addition, the German GLS warehouse is overwhelmed, and all Amazon warehouses in Nuremberg (address: Hamburgerstr. 99 Nurnberg, postal code: 90451) are currently severely overwhelmed. German UPS/DPD/GLS are all affected by the overwhelmed warehouses of all Amazon warehouses in Nuremberg 90451 postal code, and delivery is delayed.

In fact, in addition to Germany, the US warehouses are also in chaos! ONT8, LGB8 and MJQ1 warehouses are also out of stock, and the listing is extremely slow.

The price of air delivery in the United States has started to rise sharply!

I believe that sellers who do air delivery to the US station know that the air freight prices to the US have been rising recently, which has aroused the curiosity of the onlookers: Is the price of air delivery to the US changing too fast? To what extent?

Seller A: The air freight prices in the US have increased dramatically recently. If I want to send the goods by air freight, the freight forwarder quoted 30 on the 17th, 39 on the 18th, and 44 on the 19th !

Seller B: This is a fresh price list. Even an empty order is more expensive than a red order!

Freight forwarder: So scary! The price of one flight has increased three times! As soon as I sent out the price list, China Southern Airlines notified me of the price increase!

Although the current prices have made many sellers call it terrifying, many freight forwarders have also stated that the skyrocketing price of air shipments may continue for a long time, and a new round of price increases may be faced in April.

Regarding the skyrocketing air delivery prices , the editor has also seen many explanations, among which the most widely circulated reasons are the following:

1. The recurrence of the epidemic has led to the strengthening of quarantine and mandatory isolation of inbound crew members.

2. Major airlines and charter operators have taken on a large number of COVID-19 reagents .

3. Due to port congestion, long waiting time and other factors, sea freight is transferred to air delivery, resulting in an imbalance between supply and demand .

4. Due to the change of flight seasons, there are not many flights in the near future .

5. Flights from Shanghai and Hong Kong to the United States are all shipping products from Apple, Xiaomi, Huawei, Dell, etc. The surge in shipments has led to tight inventory.

Regarding the accuracy of this statement, the editor also asked an insider, who said that this kind of news is generally released by airlines and is still credible.

Regarding the tight space problem, a freight forwarder said last week:

Nanchang 5Y charter flight TOLAX is shipping reagents and is not accepting goods from outside ;

Shanghai TOLAX flights are shipping Apple, Asus, and Dell products, and the price has increased by 50+ and there is no room for them ; even if the price of charter flights outside the province increases, there is still no room for them.

Xiaomi products are being shipped from Hong Kong TO LAX ; space is tight and prices have been rising .

Therefore, the space to the US line is very tight and the prices are soaring .

In addition, affected by the congestion in sea transportation, many sellers' large goods such as bicycles, bathtubs, treadmills, etc. also began to be shipped by plane. One seller said that he would rather spend more money than wait another 60 or even 70 days, which would be too costly for the company.

Another freight forwarder said: "Air freight prices in the United States have increased significantly recently, and the Yantian Evergreen slow ship may stop sailing this week." Another freight forwarder said: "Sea freight prices have dropped recently, and the delivery time is faster than before, but now that air freight prices have increased, the volume of sea freight is expected to increase again, and the price may rise again at that time."

In any case, the principle behind the rise and fall of air freight prices remains the same : when space is tight, prices go up; when space is vacant, prices go down .

Sellers beware: Europe is conducting strict inspections on textiles!

In addition to US air delivery, what is the overall situation of cross-border logistics in recent times? A freight forwarder sent a complete feedback on the recent cross-border logistics situation:

1. Due to the recent flight shortage, the prices of red orders and air dispatch are unstable. The specific prices are subject to arrival at the warehouse. Red orders will be queued for 1-2 days.

2. For customers who are planning to ship by sea recently, we recommend that you go through the Meisen military port, as the back-end dispatch will be relatively faster.

3. The UK's withdrawal from the EU will affect the timeliness of the red bill receipt by about 7-10 days. The UK UPS red bill update textile surcharge +4/KG.

4. European shipping strictly checks textiles, so textile shipping is temporarily not accepted (the surcharge is relatively high).

Regarding the strict inspection of textiles in European shipping, I believe that many freight forwarders have witnessed its severity.

A freight forwarder said that it was just confirmed in the morning that all air cargo could be flown away today, but the policy changed in a moment, all textile flights were grounded, and all cargo that had been loaded on flights were returned to the warehouse. What was returned was not only the cargo, but also a lot of money.

It is understood that a seller on the German site is now doing the math and finds that the tariff on textiles alone is at least twice the shipping cost. The tax agent also said that the value of the product must be at least 30% of the unit sales price, so his profits will be greatly reduced.

After Europe's strict inspection of textiles, freight forwarders also have their grievances. One freight forwarder told the editor that the tax on textiles in Europe was only 17% before, but now it has exceeded 30%. The additional tax on textiles in Europe has doubled, and it is difficult for them. The calculation cost of including taxes basically kills a lot of brain cells.

Affected by this wave of strict inspections, many freight forwarders have stopped accepting textiles. Sellers need to note that there is a high probability that Europe's strict inspections of textiles will continue for a long time, so sellers should not violate relevant policies to avoid losing both money and goods.

Warehouse explosion! The sellers in these warehouses are in trouble

Even if the seller's goods are successfully cleared, they may be stuck at the warehouse entry stage. Yesterday, the editor saw an urgent notice from the freight forwarder in the circle of friends, the content is as follows

Due to the explosion of the German GLS warehouse, the Amazon Nuremberg (address: Hamburgerstr. 99 Nurnberg, zip code: 90451) warehouse is currently seriously overwhelmed. German UPS/DPD/GLS are all affected by the explosion of all Amazon warehouses in the zip code of Nuremberg 90451, and they cannot be restored in a short time. Easter is coming soon, so the unloading and delivery of GLS will be delayed in the near future. The specific time will be notified from abroad.

In fact, in addition to German warehouses, some warehouses in the United States are also overwhelmed. Due to the snowstorm that hit the United States some time ago, some FBA warehouses have been overwhelmed. A freight forwarder said that the Amazon warehouses in the United States that have been overwhelmed include ONT8, LGB8, MJQ1, MEM1, MEM6, and MDT1.

In addition, the two warehouses YYZ7 and YYZ4 in Canada are seriously overcrowded, the waiting time for delivery is long, and the rejection rate is serious; the warehouses DTM2, WRO5, KTW1, and WRO1 in Germany are more difficult to make reservations; the BHX4 warehouse in the UK is very slow to put goods on the shelves, and the LBA2 warehouse also has rejections.

After the warehouse is overwhelmed, various problems will always arise, such as lost items and slow listing. A seller said that the Amazon warehouse in Europe has been very chaotic in signing for shipments recently. Many shipments sent to Europe do not match the quantity after the warehouse signs for them. A seller said: "The German WRO5 warehouse lost 200 items last time. You need to submit all kinds of information to apply for compensation, otherwise you will not be compensated."

Another seller said: "The WRO5 warehouse is really toxic. Amazon signed for the goods at the end of December last year, but they were not put on the shelves until February this year..."

It seems that there are quite a lot of warehouses like WRO5 that are so infuriating...
