According to a recent report by the fashionnetwork website, Dafiti's revenue increased by 31% to US$192.5 million (3.4 billion reais) in 2020. At the same time, Dafiti's customer base grew by 31.2% in the fourth quarter of last year, and the number of active customers expanded to 7.7 million.

Founded in 2011, Dafiti will celebrate its tenth birthday this year. The platform not only sells its own brand products, but also provides sales channels for other merchants . The number of brands settled in the platform has reached 5,000, and the business share of stores settled in the platform has reached 30% .


In addition, Dafiti's online platform has more than 100,000 product categories, covering shoes, clothing, luggage, perfumes, and beauty products .

Betting on logistics business, Dafiti builds the largest logistics distribution center in Latin America

 

As Philipp Povel , co-founder and CEO of Dafiti , said, if the goods are not delivered on time, then it is meaningless to charge a lower commission to encourage merchants to join the platform. Therefore, Dafiti is launching the Dafiti Log logistics service to support partners in delivering goods.

 

One of the goals of the logistics service is to speed up the delivery of orders and simplify the return and exchange process for customers, including improving its door-to-door collection business, which was first launched in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

 

In addition, Dafiti has opened the largest distribution center in the fashion e-commerce field in Latin America , covering an area of ​​54,000 square meters. It is equipped with an innovative automation system controlled by artificial intelligence, which can automatically distribute 5,000 products per hour, thus reducing the distribution time from 24 hours to 2 hours.

Dafiti is well aware that faster and more efficient logistics are the key to generating more profits. As people spend more online, the solution to meet the high demand is to invest in logistics and distribution.

 

However, online sales in Latin America currently only account for a small part of fashion retail, accounting for between 5% and 7%, while in China this proportion has reached 40%. Therefore, Malte Huffmann, co-founder of Dafiti , commented: "There is still a huge market that has not been developed."
