Chinese independent station stores are blocked! Sellers should be wary of these behaviors...

Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Commerce has shut down 184 Chinese websites that provided Saudi consumers with inferior, adulterated goods and false quotations and promoted these goods through social media platforms, local media reported .

The Saudi Ministry of Commerce monitored and found that these online websites directed all traffic to a Chinese independent website. This online store advertised in Arabic. Once it was blocked, it established five other tracked and blocked websites, and then established 184 websites in an effort to attract as many Saudi consumers as possible and mislead regulators.

They provided many adulterated consumer goods through multiple links, including electronic devices, perfumes, cosmetics, bags, shoes, clothes, and personal care equipment . The website did not provide consumers with return and exchange options or customer service, but instead deceived consumers with the quality of the goods .

Currently, the Saudi Ministry of Commerce has blocked these sites which do not include business details, addresses , contact numbers and do not provide customer service .

The Saudi Ministry of Commerce urged consumers to deal with trustworthy online stores and ignore unknown and unreliable advertisements posted by foreign websites on social media , and encouraged consumers to report illegal stores through multiple channels such as app stores, telephones, and government websites.

In January of this year , the Saudi Ministry of Commerce also closed two independent stores because they provided false quotations to consumers and failed to deliver products to consumers within the specified date.

Previously, the website building platform XShoppy stated in an announcement on the closure of illegal stores that it had frozen and closed 1,555 illegal stores and 100 corporate centers that had violated the regulations multiple times in December last year .

In China, Tmall, JD.com and Pinduoduo account for more than 80% of the e-commerce market share. In many overseas countries, consumers search for products through search engines or receive product-related information via email. Coupled with the promotion of social media, this will bring traffic to the stores of independent sellers.

In general, independent websites have a market for development in overseas countries, and more and more platform sellers are planning to enter the independent website market. However, sellers need to note that illegal behaviors such as not shipping orders and not delivering goods as shown are doomed to fail in the long run. The best way is to make good use of the advantages of independent websites and operate your own stores in compliance with regulations.
