Sold out! This Southeast Asian country is in lockdown again, and 550,000 pieces of this product were sold in 5 days

It is reported that in view of the fact that the domestic epidemic is gradually under control and the basic infection index is 0.8, the Malaysian government decided on the 2nd of this month not to continue to extend the movement control order in Kuala Lumpur and other places . This is undoubtedly great news for the Malaysian people, and the hard days are finally coming to an end!

Indeed, Malaysia has implemented the Movement Control Order for quite some time. On January 13, the Movement Control Order was officially implemented in Malaysia. On February 6, areas with more serious epidemics such as Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia extended the blockade.

After Malaysia's second lockdown, these products are sold out

Another extension of the lockdown means that people will continue to rely on online shopping to meet their daily needs, and some products performed extremely well during the second lockdown, with sales even exceeding 550,000 units!

It is reported that during the second lockdown, Malaysians chose to continue working and studying at home. Ian Ho, regional general manager of e-commerce giant Shopee, said: "During this period, more and more Malaysians have increased their demand for electronic consumer products . Smartphones, tablets, keyboards, audio equipment and other products have high sales, with 550,000 units sold in just 5 days. "

Regional General Manager Ian Ho said: “This data shows that compared with the first lockdown, the sales volume of Shopee platform increased by 450% during the second lockdown.”

In addition to Shopee, product sales on Lazada Malaysia also surged.

Stephy Lim, senior vice president of category management , said that sales of electronic devices, home appliances and other products have increased significantly compared to before the lockdown .

Consumer electronics products are hot

The chairman of the National Information and Communications Association of Malaysia (Pikom) said that working and studying from home has led to a surge in demand for products such as tablets and notebooks , resulting in a shortage of supply and delayed delivery .

At present, the epidemic in Malaysia is gradually under control. However, people have long adapted to working and studying at home, and the use of electronic consumer products has become a habit. The demand for such products will only increase.

Overall, the demand for electronic consumer products in Malaysia may continue to grow, which is excellent news for sellers. Interested sellers can pay more attention.
