Facebook officially launched Instagram's 4-person live broadcast feature on March 1

In order to welcome "Women's History Month" in March and "International Women's Day" on March 8, Facebook officially launched the Inatagram multi-person live broadcast function on March 1, which had been in preparation for nearly a year .

Facebook said in a statement: Starting March 1, creators and three other people can live broadcast on Instagram by launching Live Rooms. During Women's History Month in March, users can watch live discussions between content creators and influential women on how women can help each other overcome obstacles and ultimately succeed.

As people seek ways to stay connected with friends and family during the quarantine period, live streaming has seen a significant increase in 2020, so Instagram also hopes to release this feature earlier to reap the early user dividends in the market. And the popularity of the Clubhouse voice chat room also shows that people are extremely enthusiastic about real-time interactive activities with multiple people online at the same time.

Instagram Live’s multi-person live broadcast feature allows users to conduct interviews, invite fans and customers to participate in live broadcasts, or interact with influential celebrities live , helping content creators build a stronger connection with their Instagram audience in a new way .

As shown in the figure below, the live broadcaster will be able to invite other users to enter the room for live discussion. The invited users will receive a drop-down notification, and other account followers can watch the live content in real time.

Facebook has also made some moves to highlight Women's History Month in March, for example, adding custom sticker sets on both Instagram and Messenger to encourage users to "celebrate and talk to the women in your life."

Facebook is also launching a new category in its Community Help dashboard that will help nonprofits and individuals organize charitable events and collect important items through Facebook's tools.

Additionally, Facebook is adding a #womenowned shopping collection to the Shop tabs on Facebook and Instagram to further support women-owned businesses.

Facebook also launched a campaign called "Women x Women" to highlight inspiring stories from women and show how they have used Facebook's apps to succeed in the past year.

Now sellers can start preparing for Instagram live multi-person marketing strategies! And from Facebook's marketing methods for "Women's History Month" in March, we can see that more and more companies are now involved in social causes. Sellers can also pay attention to product selection and marketing strategies in this regard, and seize the opportunity of March 8 Women's Day to shape their own good brand image!
