As the fifth-ranked shopping app in North America in terms of active user growth , Target is booming. Recently, Target's CEO said that although physical store sales fell sharply in 2020, its online sales doubled, and its online sales in the third quarter increased by 155% , which in turn drove its overall sales growth.

In 2020, Target+'s online visits increased by 50%, reaching 200 million visits per month. Relevant data shows that Target + 's online platform was launched in 2019, supporting third-party sellers to settle in and sell products. Target + has grown from the initial 30 selected sellers to the current 272 sellers . Although its sellers are growing very slowly, its online sales are growing very fast.

 

 

In fact, Target + is different from Amazon, which runs an open market. To enter Target + , you need to be invited to operate a store and sell goods on the platform. On the Target + platform, there is almost no competition between sellers, and they are all brand sellers. And the selected sellers share a website with more than 200 million visits a month, so you can imagine the sales volume.

 

Although the Target + platform is small, it brings sellers higher profits with its extremely high traffic and loyal customer base. Many sellers said that Target + is one of the fastest growing channels for their product sales. Target said that it will continue to add online product categories and welcome sellers to join.

Target is a department store located in Minnesota, USA, operating more than 1,800 stores across the country, second only to Walmart. Target's online platform has a complete range of categories, with up to 165,000 online products , including men's and women's clothing, shoes, bags, jewelry, home accessories, furniture, bedding, beauty and skin care, sports products, pet products and electronic appliances.

 

 

Unlike other platforms, Target + targets its core customers, namely young families, and uses low-price strategies to provide this group with products from major sellers and its own brands.

 

Target + continues to improve its logistics and distribution capabilities and supply chain services. Target+ allows consumers to purchase goods directly from third-party suppliers and have them shipped directly by third-party suppliers, which greatly reduces the freight process. It also acquired grocery delivery startup Shipt Inc to improve its product delivery capabilities.
