Sales soared 772%! The Korean perfume market is about to usher in a boom

It is reported that perfume sales in South Korea's online shopping malls are growing rapidly . SI Village, an online shopping mall of Shinsegae International, saw perfume sales increase by 772% last month compared with the same period last year, and Gmarket, another online shopping mall, saw perfume sales soar by 711% in January .

In addition, Amorepacific established a comprehensive perfume department for the first time in January this year , began to target the domestic perfume market , and officially started the pace of conquering the domestic perfume market.

Makeup is a way to express yourself, but due to the epidemic, people have to wear masks in public , so makeup is not of much help to themselves.

The distribution industry believes that perfume has become another important way for people to express themselves . During the epidemic, people's demand for perfume is increasing, especially perfumes that can express their uniqueness are very popular .

It is understood that the "nizch perfume" brand managed by Shinsegae International is very popular in South Korea . The sales of Byredo , which is the most popular among young people in their 20s and 30s, increased by 783%, and Memo Paris increased by 1,600% .

"Nizch Perfume" means "specific" just as its name suggests . This brand can satisfy the preferences of a small number of people , and consumers can have their own exclusive scent, so mass production and mass sales can be avoided . However, the price is around 100,000 to 500,000 won, which is much higher than that of ordinary perfume .

In addition to online shopping malls, perfume sales in offline stores, represented by department stores, are also growing rapidly, with Lotte Department Store and Hyundai Department Store seeing perfume sales increase by 34% and 49.7% respectively .

On the contrary, due to the epidemic, cosmetics sales have been greatly affected since December 24 last year , as department stores have banned the trial of cosmetics. Last month, Lotte Department Store's sales fell by 22%, and Hyundai Department Store's sales fell by 8.6%.

Crisis brings business opportunities. Sellers should seize the opportunities, cater to customer needs, provide high-quality products based on consumer demands, and expand their stores.
