What is Amazon Handmade? Amazon Handmade Review, Features

Amazon Handmade is an e-commerce platform established by Amazon specifically for sellers of handicrafts. It was officially launched in October 2015. All products on the Handmade platform must be handmade. The categories that can be sold on the platform include accessories, baby products, toys and games, jewelry, home décor, artwork, stationery and party supplies, kitchen and dining, and furniture. Sellers who have sold products through the US Handmade platform do not need to reapply for a Handmade account in the European market.

Platform Rules

1. Amazon Handmade allows sellers to upload one main picture for each product, and each listing can add 8 auxiliary pictures for free. The main picture only shows the product, cannot be a drawing or illustration, and cannot include accessories, props, etc. that are not actually in the order.

2. Sellers cannot add videos to listings, but Amazon itself can add videos for sellers, but only some sellers who are invited can do so.

3. To sell on Amazon Handmade, sellers need to apply and pass the review. Sellers are also required to sell products that are only made by themselves or by a team of less than 20 people. Sellers can also set their own production time and even provide customized products, but the production time on Amazon is set to a maximum of 30 days. 4. After applying and being approved, sellers can add products through Amazon, but sellers must add information for each listing, and products cannot be imported from other websites on Amazon.

cost

Although Amazon Handmade currently does not charge listing fees, it does charge a 15% commission on each transaction, calculated based on the sales price plus shipping costs.

Payment Methods

Amazon Handmade accepts a variety of payment methods, including credit cards, current account transfers, Amazon gift cards, and Japan Asia points. Some products can also be paid for on delivery.

Copyright, Trademark and Other Related Policies

1. Copyright is intended to protect original works. To be eligible for copyright protection, a work must be original to the author and must have a certain degree of innovation. If you are the author of an original work, then you own the copyright to that work. Violations can be reported by sending an email to [email protected].

2. A trademark indicates the source of goods or services. Trademark law is designed to prevent buyers from being confused about the source of goods or services. You can email [email protected] with any questions.

3. It is recommended to register for the "Amazon Brand Registry", which can help artists protect registered Amazon trademarks and create an accurate and trustworthy experience for buyers. Currently, brands must have a registered trademark to be eligible to register for Amazon Handmade.
