Pet Plate is a provider of superior dog food rooted in science to deliver essential nutritional solutions of unparalleled quality. About Pet Plate Pet Plate FAQ Q: Why should I switch to PetPlate? A: After seeing the inferior ingredients and substandard processes used to make mass-market pet foods, our founder Renaldo made it his mission to find a way to help your dog live a longer, healthier, and happier life. That's why all of our recipes are designed by veterinary nutritionists and prepared in the USDA kitchen using only premium ingredients from partners we know and trust. Our foods are loved by all kinds of dogs, including those with medical conditions that normally make it difficult to eat, picky pups who refuse to eat kibble, and dogs who will eat just about anything. We put in the time and effort to make PetPlate the most convenient way to feed your dog healthy, freshly prepared food. Enjoy! Q: How do I store the PetPlate? A: Since PetPlate is a freshly prepared food, our food is highly perishable and needs to be kept in a freezer or refrigerator. Our meals should be stored long term in the freezer, up to 1 year, and can be thawed in the refrigerator. Once they have been thawed in the refrigerator, you should use them within 5 days. Our snack and supplement cookies do not need to be stored in the refrigerator or freezer. Store them in a cool, dry place like your pantry or kitchen counter! Q: How long does PetPlate stay fresh? A: PetPlate is human-grade fresh food, so meals must be refrigerated or frozen. Your containers will arrive frozen and you can allow them to thaw in the refrigerator or defrost in the microwave for about 10-20 seconds. Once the container is thawed, it should be stored in the refrigerator and used within 5 days. You can keep food in the refrigerator for up to one week at a time - the rest should be stored in the freezer. Refer to the best before date on the bottom of the container. Our snack and supplement cookies do not need to be refrigerated or frozen. Just keep them in a cool, dry place (like your pantry)! NOTE: Since PetPlate is a fresh food, it should not be out of the refrigerator for more than two hours. If your puppy doesn't eat it right away, toss it back in the refrigerator for later. Q: How does a PetPlate subscription work? A: We are a subscription service that provides ready-to-eat, freshly prepared meals personalized to your dog's nutritional needs. Delivery is always free and your pup's meals are conveniently delivered fresh to your door based on the delivery frequency outlined in your pup's personalized meal plan! We ship on Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday depending on your zip code and offer 1 day shipping to most of the U.S. We charge delivery costs on the Friday before your delivery, so if you need to make any changes to your delivery schedule or pause your subscription, please ensure you log into your account before Thursday. |
