Cainiao's global express network guarantees Double 11, and cooperates with AliExpress to upgrade cross-border logistics solutions for big promotions

On October 17, AliExpress and Cainiao jointly upgraded the 2024 Double 11 cross-border logistics guarantee plan, leveraging the advantages of Cainiao's global express network to help cross-border merchants better seize the biggest business growth opportunities of the year and create an overseas Double 11 with the "largest investment and best experience."

At present, more than 40 cross-border warehouses and distribution centers of Cainiao International Express and AliExpress have entered the stocking stage . In order to cope with the upcoming peak in orders during Double 11, Cainiao temporarily increased the number of employees and expanded the warehouse capacity . Choice warehouses, first-mile collection warehouses, and JIT warehouses covering millions of square meters are ready. In addition, the three major cross-border warehouses in Europe, America, Japan and South Korea have stepped up the pace of stocking, and added global stocking centers and special fleets for replenishment and transportation guarantees.

On the eve of Double 11, Cainiao has further upgraded its industry solutions and continued to expand the product richness for AliExpress merchants. Especially for small and medium-sized merchants, Cainiao's latest worry-free special line has covered 36 countries, relaxing certain timeliness requirements, but the logistics costs can be saved by an average of about 15-30%. In particular, in ocean countries such as Mexico, more than half of the freight can be saved, creating a truly easy-to-use and inexpensive international express product; Cainiao's special cargo solution has covered 53 countries around the world, using air transport, China-Europe trains, trucks and other transportation methods to continue to speed up the cross-border transportation of special cargo ; "Big guys" also want to smoothly catch the fast lane of Double 11, AliExpress Cainiao's official "super-large piece special line" large-piece solution continues to be upgraded and optimized, currently covering 11 countries including Europe, the United States, Australia, and South Korea, and consumers can instantly view logistics nodes in the AliExpress App.

As the main mode of transportation for cross-border e-commerce, air routes have always been a "competitive" resource for major cross-border e-commerce platforms during Double 11. To this end, Cainiao International Express has successively locked in high-quality transportation resources in key national markets one month in advance, and prepared multi-directional charter flights and charter boards to provide flexible transportation capacity guarantees for the big promotion.

Public data shows that after AliExpress clarified the "POP+full trusteeship" dual-track driven strategy for the cross-border industry in September 2024, the number of orders in the warehouse-based delivery model skyrocketed, and many POP merchants said that their orders increased significantly after warehouse delivery. To this end, Cainiao International Express is also actively accelerating the integration of POP and Choice networks. Goods purchased by consumers under the two modes can also be delivered together, which not only saves transportation resources, but also improves the delivery experience.

This year, Cainiao's global express delivery network ensures efficient delivery of Double 11. In China, Cainiao Express has opened nearly 300 direct delivery routes to ensure door-to-door delivery, half-day delivery and next-day delivery; globally, Cainiao's three major eHubs in Kuala Lumpur, Hong Kong and Belgium have been fully launched, and local distribution networks have been expanded in multiple core markets such as Hong Kong, Spain, France, Mexico, etc., to fully ensure the global logistics experience of Double 11 in 2024.
