Recently, when an Amazon seller logged into the Seller Central Account Status page, he found a new "Regulatory Compliance" window in the Policy Compliance category .
In response, Amazon’s backend customer service said, “This is to make it easier for sellers to complete GPSR compliance.”
It is understood that in order to ensure that products sold on the market are safe for consumers, the EU will officially implement the EU's General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR) on December 13 this year. This new regulation covers almost all non-food products. Products that fail to meet compliance requirements before the deadline will face delisting and inventory removal.
As the deadline approaches, Amazon has fully enabled the GPSR compliance function, reminding sellers to upload the EU responsible person and manufacturer on the platform as soon as possible. In addition, cross-border e-commerce platforms such as Alibaba International Station and Temu have also issued compliance guidance notices on GPSR.
However, sellers encountered a series of problems when uploading on the Amazon platform, such as "Which ASINs need to be uploaded? How can non-brand sellers upload EU responsible persons for non-CE products? How to upload when there are multiple manufacturers under one brand?" and so on.
The editor has also seen many questions about compliance in the seller discussion area, such as "Does the European GPSR law require only uploading the warning picture in five languages on the packaging, or do we need to upload six views of the entire product?" and "Who runs the German site? Does GPSR have to be passed before shipment?"
It can be seen that many sellers are at a loss when uploading information, and the new "Regulatory Compliance" window launched by Amazon perfectly solves the above problem.
It is reported that this window can help sellers supervise non-compliant products and upload all information required by GPSR, including EU responsible person, manufacturer information, product safety pictures, documents, etc. At the same time, the window can also display the list of ASINs that have not completed GPSR compliance requirements.
Some sellers said that the new window launched online helps them complete compliance work more efficiently, and it can be said to be very convenient and practical.
As of now, Amazon Seller Platform has provided four windows to support sellers to upload GPSR compliance information, including Image Manager, MYC, Add Compliance Widget, and the new "Regulatory Compliance" window.
It is worth mentioning that if the seller has completed GPSR compliance for a certain ASIN in other windows, there is no need to submit it again in the new window. However, if the information of the EU responsible person changes after submitting compliance, the product label and safety picture must be updated in time.
Amazon has launched multiple windows to help sellers upload information, which shows how much it values GPSR. Therefore, sellers need to act quickly and complete compliance to avoid unnecessary losses. Otherwise, Amazon will remove all products that do not comply with GPSR after December 13. |
