New warehouse opened! Cainiao International Express Weihai Preferred Warehouse Phase II opened

On July 31, the opening ceremony of the second phase of Cainiao Weihai Preferred Warehouse was held in Weihai Comprehensive Bonded Zone. It is understood that cross-border merchants shipping to South Korea and Japan can enjoy the efficient cross-border fulfillment time of "evening delivery and morning arrival" after preparing goods in Cainiao Weihai Warehouse, and continue to fully realize the 5- day delivery to Japan and South Korea.

It is reported that due to the surge in the volume of goods shipped from China to South Korea this year, Cainiao will open the second phase of the new warehouse based on the first phase of Weihai Preferred Warehouse in 2022, supporting the warehousing, distribution and delivery of all categories of e-commerce products including special goods, and will subsequently seamlessly connect with Cainiao's Japan-South Korea shipping line, greatly saving transportation time by utilizing the warehouse's superior geographical location. Previously, Cainiao announced that more than 30 preferred warehouses in East China and South China will ship directly to South Korea, helping managed cross-border merchants to easily ship goods and seize overseas market opportunities.

After this logistics upgrade, merchants in North China can prepare goods in warehouses in Weihai, Yantai and other places in Shandong, and quickly deliver them to South Korea by sea and air; merchants in East China and South China can prepare goods in nearby preferred warehouses, and after the goods are shipped out of the warehouse, Cainiao will transport them across borders to South Korea, providing consumers with a multi-level cross-border logistics solution with a 5-10 day delivery date.

The 2024 fiscal report released by Alibaba Group shows that in the 2024 fiscal year ending March 31, in the field of international logistics, Cainiao's average daily cross-border package volume has exceeded 5 million pieces, which exceeds the current global leading logistics companies.
