In the just-concluded summer promotion, British beauty brand Made By Mitchell set a new record, becoming the first brand in the UK to exceed $1 million in sales in a single day on TikTok Shop. Its success was due to a 12-hour live broadcast "marathon", in which a product was sold every second in the live broadcast room. The sales eventually reached $830,000, helping the brand achieve a milestone of over $1 million in sales in just 24 hours.
In the UK, TikTok Shop has not only become a platform for the rapid development of small and medium-sized businesses, but also provided a broader space and stage for well-known brands to further expand their influence. Data shows that after the British clothing brand ASOS entered TikTok Shop, more than 57% of the platform's sales came from new customers.
