Recently, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission ( CPSC) issued a recall notice for two baby products. It is reported that both products are sold online and only on the Amazon platform.
1. iMOONZZZ Girls Pajamas
According to the notice on the CPSC website, the reason for the recall is that the products do not meet the flammability standards for children's pajamas, causing children to be burned. There are four styles of products recalled, about 13,300 items, all of which are long nightgowns for girls.
Style 1 is a retro soft cotton short-sleeved nightdress, with 9 colors including white, pink, blue, retro flowers, cherry blossoms, rainbow castle, etc., made of pure cotton; Style 2 is also a retro soft cotton short-sleeved nightdress, available in five colors: white, pink, blue, retro floral, and cherry blossom, made of pure cotton; Style 3 is a soft cotton long-sleeved mesh nightdress in white, with an outer layer of 100% polyester and an inner lining of 95% cotton and 5% spandex; Style four is a winter soft wool princess long-sleeved nightgown, available in blue, white and pink. The material is 95% polyester plus 5% elastic fiber. The above products were sold on Amazon between March and June 2023, with prices ranging from US$20 to US$29.
No reports of injuries caused by the relevant products have been received so far. CPSC reminds consumers who have purchased the above products to contact iMOONZZZ in a timely manner to obtain a refund.
2. Recalled UncleWu Baby Bath Chair
According to the CPSC's recall notice, the leg opening and stability of this bath chair do not meet U.S. federal safety regulations, and it is possible for it to tip over at any time during use, posing a drowning hazard to babies. Approximately 360 products were recalled and were sold on Amazon from December 2020 to June 2021 for about $40. The item is made of molded plastic and is sold in a navy and powder blue color combination. The seat has suction cups on the bottom of the seat. The tub seat has a backrest, flat bottom and a T-shaped handle. The label on the back of the tub seat has the model name, date, manufacturer's location and model number YD108.
The origins of the above two products are both from China. In addition to the above two products, CPSC also recently recalled Yoocaa baby recliners, which are also only sold on Amazon. The editor reminds Amazon maternity and baby category sellers to strengthen their understanding and attention to relevant category regulations and dynamics to avoid the risk of their products being removed from the shelves or recalled.
