Walmart launches paid review program, $15 per review

According to foreign media reports, Walmart recently introduced a program to brand merchants on its platform that allows sellers to purchase product reviews through Plum's agency program for $15 per review . In a newly released post, Walmart explained:

“Plum’s Affiliate Program helps sellers get real reviews for their products . If you’re looking for a fast and affordable way to get product reviews, we have great news! Now sellers can mobilize real consumers to buy your products from Walmart stores or Walmart.com, try them at home, and then leave real ratings and reviews on your product pages!”

Walmart points merchants to a page on Plumshop.com, explaining that “after a seller orders ratings and reviews from Plum, a task is initiated in the Plum app. The customer orders the product in the app, buys it, tries it at home, and writes about their experience using the product .

In another of Walmart's latest posts, it offered merchants a discount code that would give them 25% off their first order of ratings and reviews .

In fact, Amazon also has its own official product review service called Vine.

Amazon said: "Whether you are a new brand seller or an established seller looking to launch a new product , Amazon's Vine program can help you get your first product review from a group of unbiased and insightful consumers. These reviews can let consumers further understand the seller's products and help them make the right purchasing decisions. "

Walmart and Amazon both understand that good product reviews can help consumers make purchases. Amazon says participating in the Vine program may help sellers increase sales of new or slow-moving products by 19%. Although Amazon ended its "review incentive program" in 2016, it still retains the Vine program.

After Walmart launched this project, it provided sellers with a formal channel to gain reviews , which is good news for some new sellers or sellers who want to promote new products.
