Recently, according to foreign media reports, Walmart is getting more deeply involved in the field of live shopping , using social media platforms to attract more consumers to consume . Walmart said that in the next year, the company will also arrange 15 live shopping events on TikTok and other social media platforms such as YouTube and Facebook .
Walmart has also created a real-time shopping website - walmartshoplive.com. Currently, the website divides live broadcasts into three columns, namely Women's History Month Live, Baby Days Live, and Black & Unlimited Live. From the perspective of live broadcast content, the hosts of the first column are all women, and the products are mainly cosmetics; the products of the second column are mainly baby products; and the hosts of the third column are four featured brands from companies founded by black people .
It is reported that a recent live broadcast on Walmart's real-time shopping website attracted 22,300 viewers.
Spieckerman Retail President said that live streaming is a global phenomenon. This shopping channel has become very mature in China and other countries. Now the US market has also noticed this, and Walmart must follow this trend. In addition, live streaming shopping is very attractive to Generation Z and young shoppers, the main online shopping groups.
