Please note that after April 15, this type of product will no longer be available for storage on Amazon.com!

The Amazon.com has introduced new rules. After April 15, this type of product will no longer be allowed in the warehouse.

Amazon said in the announcement: " Between April 15 and October 15, 2022, Amazon's fulfillment centers will not deliver or receive meltable products . During this period, the inventory of meltable products will be removed and disposed of for a fee. To avoid removal fees, relevant sellers need to submit a removal order for the inventory of meltable products before April 15. "

According to Amazon, "meltable items " refer to all heat-sensitive products, including but not limited to chocolate, gummies and select jellies , as well as wax-based products. To protect the integrity of the products during storage and transportation, products in Amazon's fulfillment centers must be able to withstand summer temperatures of 75 to 155 degrees Fahrenheit ( 23.9 to 68.3 degrees Celsius) .

For the convenience of sellers , Amazon will provide an initial list of meltable products in Seller Center before March 1, 2022. At the same time, if a seller wants to request an exemption for such products, they need to send a detailed letter to Amazon with the manufacturer's letterhead. Sellers can get more relevant information by visiting the FBA inventory of meltable products .

Under the announcement, some sellers raised questions about the announcement. The seller "Direct_HiT" is not sure whether the policy only applies to FBA sellers or whether FBM sellers will also be affected; will the removal disposal fee for meltable product inventory be different for FBA and FBM ?

“Direct_HiT” said that some FBM sellers also store and ship meltable items appropriately, and these products may also be stored by other sellers as FBA products. “Direct_HiT” wondered whether these product listings would be removed by Amazon due to policy implications .

Then, the seller "hs_inc" answered. He said that they have been selling meltable items for many years , but their FBM listings have never been deleted , and the FBA listings will not be deleted for this reason. The policy just does not allow FBA to receive such product inventory during this period .

Sellers should check the relevant information in a timely manner and handle it according to Amazon's regulations to avoid financial losses caused by additional removal and disposal charges.
