Russia's Vprok.ru downloads exceed 10 million

It is reported that the online platform Vprok.ru, owned by Russian e-commerce giant X5, has been downloaded more than 10 million times and has an average monthly visit volume of about 900,000.

 

Ordering goods on a daily basis via smartphone is becoming increasingly popular. In 2021, the share of online orders reached 70%, an increase of 10% compared to 2020. Most often, the application is installed by owners of Android smartphones and tablets , whose share among all service customers is 56%. On average, at least 600,000 users install the application every month.

 

In contrast , residents of Moscow and St. Petersburg frequently use the app to place orders . In terms of the number of new installations , December is still the most active month. During December last year , users downloaded the app at least 1.5 million times and placed 350,000 orders.

 

The burst of activity in the app generally starts on Wednesday and peaks on Saturday before falling again , with most orders being placed in the first half of the day , between around 11 and 14 o'clock .

 

In order to facilitate users, the Vprok mobile app has seen several innovations in the past year alone . These include the ability to chat with operators without making an additional call, the ability to leave a tip for couriers, and an improved search engine with tips and filters .

 

It is reported that in Vprok.ru 's online orders in 2021 , the number of grocery and daily necessities orders from customers aged 18 to 25 increased by 50% year -on-year. The booking share of people aged 61 to 80 increased by 40% year-on-year , and the number of online orders throughout the year exceeded 4.4 million.

 

In terms of categories, milk and sugar became the most popular products in 2021, with sales exceeding 1.4 million and 1 million pieces respectively, and peas and corn became the most popular canned foods, with a total delivery of more than 1 million pieces. Among non-food orders, coffee machines, kettles and nail products are particularly popular because of offline restrictions.

 

By the end of 2021, Vprok.ru Perekrestok had representative offices in 82 regions of Russia, of which 8 regions provided services in the form of express delivery, and 74 regions provided self-service delivery capabilities or chain stores through the existing X5 Group infrastructure.
