Founding Background JOOR founder Bijoor has worked in many fashion brands such as Chanel and Elie Tahari and has extensive industry experience. As the world's largest wholesale platform and data exchange for fashion, beauty and home furnishings, JOOR has 8,600 brands on its platform, including Balenciaga, Alexander McQueen, Saint Laurent, Marc Jacobs, Berluti, Chloé, Kate Spade, Michael Kors, Burberry, Stella McCartney, Free People and Balmain. Nearly 200,000 retailers from 144 countries use JOOR's platform, including Neiman Marcus, Bergdorf Goodman, Printemps, 24 Sèvres and Harrods. JOOR puts the entire wholesale buying process online, enabling brands and retailers to increase revenue, cut costs, improve customer experience and analyze performance through data analytics. In 2017, JOOR cooperated with the American luxury department store group Neiman Marcus Group to develop the "Joor Retailer Platform", which is the industry's first mobile platform focused on wholesale purchasing and category planning, making the work of buyers more labor-saving, efficient, accurate and collaborative. Financing -In its early days in 2010, JOOR received a total of US$5.5 million in seed and Series A VC investments. -In mid-to-late July 2013, JOOR completed a $15 million Series B financing round, led by the well-known venture capital firm Canaan Partners, followed by Advance Publications and previous investors: Battery Ventures, Lerer Ventures, Great Oaks Venture Capital, Landis Capital and Forerunner Ventures. -In February 2019, JOOR completed its Series C financing of US$16 million, led by Canaan Partners, Battery Ventures, and Itochu. |
