Amazon goods were swapped and the seller’s account was frozen!

Recently, the editor learned from the official Amazon forum that a seller’s account was frozen by Amazon due to counterfeit products.

According to the seller "PRODUCTUS", he had a business cooperation with a company that was responsible for handling product labeling and transportation. However, this company replaced the seller's original products and sent counterfeit goods to Amazon warehouses. After the brand owner found that counterfeit brand products were being sold on Amazon, he filed a complaint, and Amazon froze the seller's listing.

The seller received an email from Amazon stating that "originality must be proven within 90 days, otherwise we will process the account." After this email, the seller's account information was changed from "healthy" to "risky" by Amazon. When the seller appealed to Amazon, he found that the invoice issued by the partner company was also invalid. Currently, the seller is actively contacting the brand owner, hoping to withdraw the lawsuit through negotiation.

But another seller "Jes" disagrees with his approach. He believes that even if "PRODUCTUS" gets in touch with the brand owner and negotiates to get the brand to delete the complaint, the seller's account will still not be restored. This is because the seller's invoice is invalid and he cannot provide Amazon with valuable supporting documents, so the appeal will be fruitless.

"Jes" believes that as a seller, "PRODUCTUS" has the responsibility to conduct all product investigations. Researching the products for sale and purchasing from reputable sources can help sellers avoid having their accounts frozen due to counterfeit products. In addition, it is best to never send products to Amazon that have not been personally reviewed and inspected by the seller.

"Jes" stressed that when selling on Amazon, one must ensure that the goods being sold comply with Amazon's policy requirements and have valid certification documents. Another seller, "Mellogiri88", pointed out that sellers cannot remove counterfeit goods, and the correct approach should be to destroy them immediately.

The editor would like to remind everyone that before shipping, you must ensure the authenticity of your products and be able to provide relevant supporting documents. Recently, Amazon and customs have increased their efforts to investigate counterfeit and shoddy products. Once a problem occurs, it may lead to account suspension and huge losses.
