This procurement festival will help domestic small and medium-sized enterprises seize the historical opportunity of cross-border B2B by comprehensively upgrading the platform's order flow, logistics and capital flow.
According to the General Administration of Customs, from January to July 2021, the total value of China's foreign trade exports was 11.66 trillion yuan, an increase of 24.5% year-on-year; China's foreign trade exports have maintained positive growth for 14 consecutive months. The global economic recovery has driven the demand of overseas Class B buyers to a historical peak. According to Alibaba International Station data, the average daily number of visiting buyers, the number of paying buyers, and the online transaction volume of the platform from January to July increased by more than 60% year-on-year.
"This also reflects that China's global supply competitiveness remains strong and the digitalization process of traditional foreign trade is accelerating." Zhang Kuo, vice president of Alibaba Group and general manager of the International Station, told reporters.
It is understood that Alibaba International Station pioneered cross-border B2B live broadcasting last year, and has held more than 200,000 sessions so far. Jin Ye, a partner of Jiangsu Nantong Jinrui Technology Development Co., Ltd., said that the company tried cross-border B2B live broadcasting in June last year , with an average of more than 10,000 viewers per session, and the number of inquiries for the whole month increased by more than 70%. Zhang Kuo revealed that on September 1, this year's Procurement Festival, the number of live broadcasts on the International Station will reach 10,000.

In addition, the platform has also launched digital scenes or tools such as 3D exhibition halls, virtual shopping guides, and data robots. Through the 3D exhibition hall, sellers can set up virtual shopping guides to take buyers to see exhibitions and products 24 hours a day , and data robots help sellers track product data in real time. "These are all to help sellers obtain certain orders, reduce operating costs, and improve operating efficiency." said a "shop assistant" at Alibaba International Station.
Several foreign trade company leaders told reporters that in the second half of 2021, the foreign trade industry is facing multiple uncertainties due to the recurrence of the COVID-19 pandemic, obstacles to offline exhibitions and cross-border logistics, and fluctuations in exchange rates and upstream raw material prices.
Providing deterministic services is the theme of Alibaba International Station's September Global Procurement Festival. In response to the difficulty in finding a container for ocean shipping, the International Station's worry -free ocean shipping line has made a commitment to " guaranteeing boxes, trailers, and space ", and the voyage from the domestic departure port to the West Coast of the United States only takes 15 days. The China-US worry-free charter flight line has five flights per week, shortening the logistics time to 5-9 working days.
