On April 6, eBay announced that it would jointly launch the eBay fulfillment by Orange Connex UK warehouse trial operation service with the Orange Connex team. In other words, eBay's warehousing and distribution services will be fully covered in the UK.
According to data, in September 2020, eBay and Orange Connex launched the SpeedFreight overseas warehouse first-mile service, and 20 companies have reached logistics cooperation with eBay. Recently, eBay also launched the eBay fulfillment by Orange Connex service plan for sellers, providing sellers with warehouse and distribution logistics services through cooperation with third-party logistics companies, including end-to-end and "one-stop" logistics services.
According to eBay's official introduction, a large number of sellers have participated in the eBay fulfillment by Orange Connex service plan since its launch in September last year. The plan was first launched in the German market and is also open to sellers in Greater China. According to eBay's official internal data, the average delivery time of eBay fulfillment Germany's delivery service during this year's peak season is better than other delivery channels on the market.
This time, eBay and the Orange Connex team have joined hands to launch the eBay fulfillment by Orange Connex UK warehouse trial operation service, which provides localized warehousing and distribution services in the UK. Sellers only need to send the goods to the UK warehousing and distribution center designated by the eBay fulfillment plan, and eBay fulfillment will be responsible for the storage, packaging and transportation of the goods. Transactions using eBay fulfillment will enjoy the corresponding seller protection.
Starting from April 7, the eBay fulfillment program will enter the trial operation phase, covering all sellers in Greater China, and the service scope will cover the whole of the UK.
Previously, eBay also launched the eBay fulfillment German warehouse event, stating that the event is applicable to all sellers registered in mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan who have joined eBay fulfillment by Orange Connex. The event will run from 00:00 on April 1, 2021 to 23:59 on June 30, 2021, Beijing time. Eligible sellers must register and confirm their participation in the event in the eBay account activity background to be eligible to participate in the event, and the start time for calculating the event rewards will be calculated from the day the seller registers and confirms.
It seems that the recent eBay fulfillment plan is indeed one of eBay's key activities. Although sellers have many complaints about Orange Union, Orange Union still firmly occupies the position of "prime palace" in eBay logistics. eBay sellers basically do not have much choice. Once the account is restricted, the sales quota will also be greatly affected. They can only apply for the whitelist as much as possible outside of Orange Union. Whether the activities launched by eBay and Orange Union can win the hearts of sellers, it will take some time to observe. logistics E-commerce platform eBay Platform |
