Recently, it was reported that VOVA issued a table of traffic and sales gaps between different category levels.
According to the table, if there is a one-star difference between stores, the traffic difference can be up to 60 times, and the GMV difference can be up to 168 times. Overall, the traffic of a 3-star store is 2.7 times that of a 2-star store, and the GMV difference is 3.9 times; the traffic of a 4-star store is 6.2 times that of a 3-star store, and the GMV difference is 9 times; the traffic difference between a 5-star store and a 4-star store is as much as 12.6 times, and the GMV difference is as high as 27 times!
It can be seen from this that the higher the level of the store, the more stable the traffic will be. Although 4-star and 5-star stores are both key stores, the gap between traffic and sales is very different. There is no cap on the traffic of 5-star stores, so the corresponding sales will naturally increase exponentially.
For the platform, the stable traffic of top sellers can not only attract more sellers to settle in, but also bring traffic to its own platform with the influence of sellers and brands. It will naturally become the long-term strategy of the platform to widen the gap between top sellers and other sellers.
VOVA has launched a store grading system, and traffic distribution is jointly determined by category level. Category level = GMV in the past 30 days * operating data (7-day online rate, repurchase rate, logistics and non-logistics refund rate). The total score of the store is calculated based on the comprehensive situation of each category. All traffic distribution is strictly based on the category level of the store, and the traffic between categories does not interfere with each other.
The only dimension for traffic distribution is the category rating , not the store rating. If a single category is rated 5 stars, there is no upper limit for the traffic flow on that day, and it is fully open. If a single category is rated 1-4 stars, there will be a step-by-step cap on the daily traffic flow.
VOVA is an emerging mobile cross-border e-commerce platform for the global market, covering more than 200 countries around the world, supporting more than 20 languages and more than 30 currencies for settlement. Its operating model is similar to Wish and Joom.
Different from other platforms with high-threshold operation methods and experience, VOVA has strengthened its platform operation. It does not require merchants to have superb operation capabilities and high operation costs, and is more friendly to novice sellers.
Currently, VOVA has very strict control over the logistics of its stores. Since mid-December 2018, the Vova platform has begun to enforce 100% online delivery. In addition, VOVA has also built its own consolidated logistics system to consolidate and ship customers' packages, greatly saving cross-border logistics costs.
