While investing over 10 billion yuan in its domestic supply chain layout, SHEIN continues to deepen its all-round empowerment of suppliers , helping to improve the industry's comprehensive capabilities in lean, digital, and green areas.

 

The latest information obtained by the reporter shows that since the announcement in the first half of 2023 that it would invest 500 million yuan in five years to deepen the empowerment of suppliers, by the end of 2024, SHEIN has invested a total of 250 million yuan to continuously empower suppliers in terms of technological innovation, training support, factory expansion, and community public welfare services . In addition, SHEIN also supports suppliers in the field of green carbon reduction , fully empowering suppliers with the "4+1" empowerment system , and helping to improve the comprehensive capabilities of the industry in lean, digital, and green.

In 2023 , SHEIN established the first clothing manufacturing innovation research center, continuously output flexible supply chain standards and explore cutting-edge clothing manufacturing technologies, while taking into account the cultivation of supply chain talents. In the past two years, it has invested a total of 170 million yuan in technological innovation to provide technology, research and development, tools and other support for suppliers and industry digitalization and lean upgrades; in 2024, SHEIN also conducted 485 training sessions at the clothing manufacturing innovation research center and other institutions , covering more than 20,000 merchants. In the past two years, it has organized thousands of training sessions , providing suppliers with organizational structure, production management, quality inspection and other training to improve their management and operational capabilities . In the same period of 2024, SHEIN also carried out nearly 60 talent certification assessments and 10 professional skill level certifications to cultivate professional excellent skills and management talents for the industry .

 

In terms of factory expansion, in addition to direct financial support, SHEIN also provides full guidance to suppliers from early factory site selection planning to environmental layout, production process, etc. In the past two years , SHEIN has helped more than 200 cooperative supplier factories to upgrade and renovate more than 500,000 square meters of factory buildings, benefiting nearly 33,000 people.

SHEIN has also launched a series of public welfare projects aimed at improving the happiness of employees in the supplier community. The company has funded the upgrading and renovation of canteens, dormitories and multi-purpose rooms in supplier factories, covering nearly 14,000 square meters; 25 "Children's Homes" have been built to provide free childcare, learning and growth services for supplier employees, serving nearly 55,000 people in total; the summer camp public welfare activities for children of supplier employees have served more than 700 people in total; the public welfare project "Gathering Stars" has funded more than 640 supplier employee families in total , effectively alleviating their temporary economic difficulties in their children's schooling and major disease treatment.

 

On the basis of the above four major supplier empowerment projects, SHEIN has invested additional funds to increase the continuous promotion of green carbon reduction projects including rooftop photovoltaics and energy efficiency improvement among the supplier group, using the "4+1" empowerment system to comprehensively enhance the comprehensive capabilities of lean, digital and green.

 

In recent years, SHEIN has continued to deepen and increase its investment in the domestic supply chain, and the layout of over 10 billion supply chain infrastructure is accelerating, which will further drive the development of the industry and the upstream and downstream of the supply chain. Recently, SHEIN and Transfar Chemical have jointly established a joint laboratory in Foshan to create an internationally leading printing and dyeing textile technology innovation center; the "Xiyin Bay Area Smart Industrial Park" in Zhaoqing, Guangdong has recently completed the project acceptance and delivery, and is expected to be officially put into use within the year; another Xiyin Bay Area Western Smart Industrial Park project with a total investment of 3.5 billion yuan in Zhaoqing is expected to be completed by the end of this year; the Xiyin Bay Area Supply Chain Project located in Zengcheng, Guangzhou, with a total investment of 10 billion yuan, is also accelerating construction. It will build a global delivery center through an integrated supply chain of "green, intelligent, and automatic". After all three phases are fully put into production, it is expected that the peak period of the introduction of industrial talents will reach about 100,000 people.

 

Relying on the advantages of the perfect domestic industrial chain and supply chain foundation, and the advantages of the digital flexible supply chain that it has developed in cooperation with suppliers, SHEIN is accelerating the layout of the smart supply chain matrix that radiates Guangzhou, Foshan, Zhaoqing, Jiangmen and other cities in the Greater Bay Area, while also continuously expanding its platform. At present, the SHEIN platform has driven sellers from more than 300 industrial belts in the country to go overseas. At the beginning of this year, it launched the "Explosive Order Plan" for cross-border merchants of all categories and models, providing tens of billions of internal and external traffic support to accelerate the doubling of global sales of cross-border merchants.
