Continue to expand the e-commerce market, Tik Tok's new features help sellers accurately position themselves!

Tik Tok, which has achieved great success in the short video field , has gradually revealed its "ambition" in the e-commerce field. After launching the shopping cart function, Tik Tok has recently made new developments.

According to foreign media reports, TikTok is testing a new feature called "Business Registration" . User sellers can complete this option to display the merchant's product types in their personal profiles, such as beauty, clothing, etc.

Social media expert Matt Navarra showed on social media that some Tik Tok merchants can currently access this new "business registration" option in business settings.

Tik Tok said that "business registration" is different from the account verification badge. The new feature can provide additional protection and authoritative authentication for merchants' corporate identities. When using this feature, merchants need to provide more detailed information about the company so that Tik Tok backend can accurately locate it. After that, the merchant's business type will be displayed in the Tik Tok profile.

This function can collect data from relevant sellers, allowing the backend to make more accurate analysis of the data, and then push the short video content that consumers like more accurately.

At the same time, it helps sellers accurately locate customer groups, increase traffic and account exposure, and thus increase sales.

Tik Tok believes that commercial registration is not the main purpose. Instead, when registering, the business category of the merchant is shared with the backend through the completion of the information, and then the account is accurately pushed to the target users through big data, ultimately achieving the purpose of sales.

E-commerce is one of the markets that Tik Tok will focus on next. YouTube and Instagram have relatively mature revenue systems. And short videos have relatively few opportunities for advertising. Therefore, Tik Tok must continue to optimize and provide different revenue methods for video creators and sellers. Only in this way can they be attracted to continue using Tik Tok.

Tik Tok currently has about 1 billion users, and research shows that Tik Tok is also the preferred social application for the younger generation. On the just-passed Black Friday, Tik Tok also held a Black Friday event in the UK for the first time . The exclusive discounts attracted many users and consumers.

With the continuous development of Tik Tok's e-commerce tools such as live streaming and shopping carts, it is expected to continue to grow in 2022.
