The leading brand of gaming chairs received nearly 100 million yuan in Series A financing!

Recently, Wudi Industrial (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Wudi Industrial") announced the completion of nearly 100 million yuan in Series A financing. This round of financing was exclusively invested by GF Securities. According to the company, the funds will be mainly used for product research and development, overseas team expansion and market expansion.

Wudi Industry is a company specializing in e-sports peripheral products. It started out as a foreign trade B2B manufacturing company and entered the Amazon platform in 2017 to start cross-border e-commerce business. After a period of sales growth, Wudi Industry continued to expand and opened its own stores on e-commerce platforms in the United States, Canada, Japan, Europe and other countries.

In 2019, the company bought back the domain name http://gtracing.com at a high price and started the road to independent website. As of 2020, GTRACING independent website sales accounted for about 30%. At present, Wudi Industrial has become the leading brand in the global gaming chair market.

We know that e-sports enthusiasts need to maintain a sitting or standing posture for a long time. For e-sports enthusiasts, the comfort and ergonomic design of the chair are particularly important.

It is understood that Wudi Industry has 24 patents for gaming chairs and ergonomic chairs, and can provide consumers with more scientific, fitting and comfortable chair equipment. The editor checked on Amazon and found that many GTRACING gaming chairs received a rating of four stars or above, and many users also left messages saying that they were comfortable to sit on.

According to data from Zhiyan Consulting, the number of e-sports enthusiasts worldwide has increased year by year from 143 million to 223 million from 2017 to 2020.

The increase in e-sports enthusiasts has stimulated the consumption of e-sports supporting products. However, Wu Peng, founder of Wudi Industrial, predicts that GTRACING will not see huge growth again this year. This is because people who need office chairs and e-sports chairs due to working from home have already consumed them. Secondly, considering that the epidemic is gradually stabilizing, consumers will no longer have sudden and occasional needs, but will turn to continuous purchases of domestic products. The third is related to funding issues, and consumers' attitudes will become more cautious.

In response to this situation, Wu Peng said that this year we must first consolidate and strengthen the supply chain, logistics system, warehousing system and other aspects to lay the foundation for long-term development. In addition, sellers who want to enter the e-sports related products must also conduct in-depth investigations and make arrangements based on their actual conditions.
