With the increasing maturity of the platform and the gradual development of e-commerce in various places, Wildberries has recently expanded its European market, entered the Baltic Sea, and opened e-commerce businesses in Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia.
Currently, shopping is only possible on the web, and there are separate websites for each of the three countries: buyers can place orders on lt.wildberries.ru, lv.wildberries.ru and ee.wildberries.ru, respectively, with services available in English and Russian. Wildberries said that in the near future, they will provide mobile applications for iOS and Android.
Through the Wildberries platform, about 10 million products from more than 50,000 brands can be provided to Baltic consumers. The categories also include clothing, shoes and accessories, cosmetics, perfumes, toys and children's products, as well as technology, electronic products, books, stationery and other products.
At the same time, Wildberries has increased its investment in local logistics services and has set up sufficient logistics delivery centers in the three countries, including about 270 in Estonia, about 210 in Latvia, and nearly 300 in Lithuania, to ensure the greatest possible delivery to buyers.
Wildberries said, "Opening an online store in the Baltic will expand export opportunities for Russian sellers. There are also many Russian residents living and working in the region. They will miss Russian products and can use our platform to suit their tastes."
Including the three new Baltic countries, Wildberries has opened up seven new markets in 2021. The others are the United States, France, Spain and Italy. So far, Wildberries has conducted business in 17 countries and regions.
According to external data, Wildberries' export sales reached 23.7 billion rubles at the end of 2020, a year-on-year increase of 95%. Clothing, footwear, cosmetics, perfumes and books are the most popular products among foreign buyers.
Thanks to the continuous maturity of the e-commerce market, Wildberries will also have greater development opportunities. The continuous expansion of new markets now also shows the ambition of the platform. As the largest e-commerce platform in Russia, Wildberries' future development potential is also worth looking forward to. Europe Russia Wildberries |
