After being complained of infringement, Amazon seller deleted the product, which resulted in the goods being seized!

Recently, the editor learned from the official Amazon seller forum that a seller infringed on intellectual property rights, which resulted in the inability to restore the products after they were deleted, and goods worth US$8,000 were seized.

Seller Michael_Co said that he received an IP claim not long ago. Although he believed that it was a malicious attack from criminals, he still panicked and deleted the product on his own initiative. However, the seller did not understand the Amazon seller rules in detail, which resulted in the inability to re-publish the product after deleting it, and even unable to add it to the removal order.

Michael_Co emphasized that he is an FBA seller and has $8,000 worth of inventory of the product in Amazon warehouses. Since the seller has purchased the product from the distributor for more than a year, he cannot provide an invoice with evidential value in the process of appealing to Amazon; in addition, the seller has not received any feedback after actively contacting the brand owner. Therefore, the product inventory is currently seized by Amazon, and Amazon staff even said in the communication that "the inventory seizure is all the seller's fault."

The seller believes that he can confirm the authenticity of the goods through the product inventory and contact the distributor to avoid this situation from happening again. However, Amazon has seized the seller's inventory for infringement of intellectual property rights and falsified information. The seller is currently in a dilemma.

The seller, racingroxstore, said this only happens when the seller does not source the inventory correctly. If the seller sources the products according to regulations, a wholesale account will be established with the brand owner. When the authenticity of the inventory is questioned, the products cannot be returned because Amazon's policy is that if the seller cannot prove the authenticity of the product, it cannot be returned. Amazon is not saying that it is actually fake or counterfeit goods, but that it may be "unauthorized," which means that the seller did not obtain the goods through the brand's authorized distribution channels .

racingroxstore emphasizes that if the seller cannot prove that the product is authentic (and authorized), the product cannot be re-listed and removal instructions cannot be created. The problem can only be resolved through continuous appeals.

Here is a kind reminder from the editor: when you encounter a complaint of intellectual property infringement, you must remain calm and do not try to resolve the issue by deleting the product, which is likely to result in the product being unable to be edited and Amazon's inventory being seized. You must actively contact the brand owner and Amazon staff to resolve the issue.
