Recently, Amazon US announced that it has updated the "Drop Shipping Policy" page. Amazon said that unless the buyer knows that you are the actual seller, it will not accept direct shipping products or allow third parties to complete customer orders on your behalf. If sellers violate this policy, they may be restricted from using Amazon's Merchant Self-Fulfillment (MFN) feature.

 

eBay sellers will be able to cancel "timeout" orders

 

eBay announced that starting from May 2021, sellers will no longer need to file complaints with buyers about unpaid items or send payment reminders to buyers. If the buyer does not pay within the specified time limit, the seller can cancel the order manually or automatically through the "Sold" tab in the Seller Zone or My eBay. Currently, this new feature has been launched to some sellers.

 

Amazon will automatically verify customer claims and refund on sellers’ behalf

 

Recently, Amazon announced that starting May 24, 2021, the platform will automatically verify customer claims and provide refunds on behalf of sellers. In certain cases, Amazon can use the logistics tracking information provided during order confirmation to verify the delivery of the package. This update will simplify the "A-to-z Guaranteed Claims" experience for sellers and buyers and will help protect sellers' order defect rate (ODR).

  

However, if the logistics tracking information shows that the seller has not sent the package before the receipt date, or has not confirmed the shipment in the Seller Center, Amazon will automatically refund the buyer and deduct the claim amount from the seller's account, but this will affect the health or ODR of the seller's account.

 

Shopee's GMV in the first quarter of this year reached US$12.6 billion

 

On May 19, according to the latest 2021 first quarter financial report released by Shopee's parent company Sea Limited, as of March 31, 2021, the company's first quarter GAAP total revenue was US$1.764 billion, a year-on-year increase of 146.7%; net loss was US$422 million, and a net loss of US$281 million was recorded in the same period last year, and the loss margin widened year-on-year.
