A large number of sellers received address verification emails, and postcard review is coming again
Recently, many Amazon sellers have received emails requiring address verification. The email stated that Amazon needs to verify the company address displayed on the seller’s profile page. Amazon will send a unique code to the archived address, and the seller needs to enter this code in the seller platform before June 7, 2021.
Figure 1
If the seller does not complete this process by the required date, future payments will be held on the seller's account until the address is verified.
After the seller confirms the address, Amazon will send a postcard containing a verification code to this address, and most postcards will be delivered within 5-7 business days.
Many of the sellers who received the email had accounts from 2019 to 2020, and new accounts registered before the Chinese New Year this year also encountered this problem. One seller said: "I didn't expect that old accounts would also encounter this problem. I thought only newly registered accounts needed verification."
According to feedback from sellers, postcards are usually delivered by UPS or SF Express, and the courier information cannot be found, so you can only wait for the courier to call.
There will be no problems if the seller follows the steps step by step. The process of postcard delivery will also be displayed in the background. There are also three chances to accept the postcard address. The postcard acceptance address is the same as the address previously filled in by the seller, that is, the seller's address displayed on the front desk.

However, what sellers are more worried about is that the business license address and other people’s addresses may be inconsistent with the actual office address, especially for purchased accounts. Although there is an option of “adding a new address” in the Amazon backend, they are worried that changing the address will trigger the second review.
Figure 3
A seller reminded: " You can fill in an address where you can receive postcards . The real address will do. Amazon will use this address as your company address and it will be displayed on the seller information at the front desk. If you fill in a US address, then that address will be displayed. If you want the courier to forward it to a new address, you can discuss it with the courier after receiving the call. In theory, it will not trigger an audit. If it doesn't work, ask the courier to read the verification code to you."
Some sellers are optimistic about whether address changes will trigger the second review: " Just add the address that can receive postcards to the office address in the background. If you modify it on a computer that you often use, it will not trigger the review."
But before this, many sellers were helpless because they could not receive the express delivery of postcards. So one seller summarized the rules of postcard delivery: " Postcards from the US and Japan stations are sent by UPS . For small places that are not covered, they will call you and ask you to forward them by SF Express. At this time, you can ask them to open them. Postcards from the European station are sent from Shanghai by SF Express. The SF Express guy will call you to confirm the address."
Compared with video verification, postcard verification is much easier to operate. Sellers who are not used to the ups and downs can follow the instructions step by step without rushing.
Amazon tightens its investment policy again, refusing to accept information from southern companies?
The entry of a large number of new sellers this year has made Amazon extremely hot, which not only reflects the difficulty in recruiting sellers in operations, but also in attracting investors.
Earlier news showed that due to the influx of a large number of sellers, investment promotion was approaching saturation, and the investment promotion manager completed the annual KPI in March, so Amazon tightened its investment promotion policy, that is, the North American and European sites can only process applications from companies that can provide factory or product certification and have R marks or TM receipts. Those that cannot provide them will not be processed for the time being.
At the same time, many sellers also said that the investment links were particularly slow this year and were a bit picky about qualified sellers.
One seller complained that he had waited a month for a new account but still hadn't gotten it . Another seller was even worse, saying that he had contacted many investment managers and was questioned many questions, but in the end, none of them would give him a new account.
Under the tightened policy, some powerful "big guys" are also powerless. One seller said that as Amazon's main investment target, he used to be able to help other sellers connect with investment managers, but now it is difficult.
Unexpectedly, this year's investment policy is not the tightest, but even tighter. Recently, there was news that Amazon's investment manager no longer accepts materials from southern companies.
Specifically, Amazon investment managers no longer accept store opening guidance from southern companies in Europe and the United States, while northern companies can still accept some, and southern companies can only take over Japanese sites, and southern companies must have factory qualifications and trademarks (the factory cannot be a cooperative one, it must belong to the legal person himself).
It has not even been a month since the last policy tightening, and many sellers can't help but lament: "The policy changes are really too fast."
While sellers are paying attention to the status of new accounts, they are also being targeted by some illegal service providers.
Relevant news indicates that as Amazon tightens its store investment links, some service providers are ready to move again. Taking advantage of sellers' eagerness to register new accounts, they have launched a new scam: Amazon's official value-added service link only charges 1,500 yuan.
The service is advertised as "Amazon's official value-added service" and states that it costs $1,500 to open the US site, and that "you can download the registration link in advance," "advertising guidance," and "PSS gold customer service support."
Regarding opening a store, the editor would like to remind all new and old sellers that if the official investment manager does not work here, but the need to open a store is very urgent, you can go to the Amazon Global Store official website to register yourself. Generally speaking, as long as you have a real registered address and legal person information, there is basically no problem.
Sellers, please note that Amazon has made changes to these policies
Today, Amazon announced that it is revising its program policies, which apply to all sellers who use services or features covered by these policies.
The announcement shows that the updated policies include:
Amazon Logistics Lost and Damaged Inventory Reimbursement Policy: To streamline the reconciliation process, Amazon has removed the requirement to file a claim 30 days after inventory is lost or damaged at an Amazon warehouse. With Amazon's new inventory reconciliation report, inventory adjustments for lost or damaged warehouses will be reported when reconciled or eligible for reimbursement. Sellers can immediately file a claim with Amazon for any lost or damaged warehouse inventory that has not been reimbursed or found, as shown on the inventory reconciliation report. Sellers will have the right to file a claim if they disagree with Amazon's damage or defect rating for customer returned items. To file a claim, the disputed items must have been returned to the seller via a removal order. Amazon is also updating the language of the reimbursement calculation method so that sellers have a clearer understanding of how their reimbursement is calculated.
FBA Subscribe & Save Policy: Amazon is updating the FBA Subscribe & Save policy to reflect that enrollment of new products in the program is no longer limited to brand owners registered with the Amazon Brand Registry. Eligible replenishable items will be automatically enrolled with a 0% base discount (i.e., sellers pay nothing), and Amazon will offer a 5% customer discount for tiered deliveries when a customer receives a fixed number of items in one delivery. Sellers who want to fund the customer discount can pay a 5% Or 10 % fee, Amazon will pay an additional 5% fee under applicable conditions. Sellers can opt out at any time.
Amazon Renewed Program Terms: Amazon is updating the Amazon Renewed program terms to reflect fees applicable to Amazon Renewed products starting June 8, 2021. Additionally, it is updating Amazon Renewed performance metrics to ensure the best customer experience.
The above policy updates will take effect on April 27, 2021.

In addition, the announcement shows that the updated policy also includes:
Maintaining Enrollment in Seller Fulfilled Prime: Amazon is updating the Maintaining Seller Fulfilled Prime policy to improve the Prime customer experience. The cutoff time required to maintain eligible Seller Fulfilled Prime will be at a later date. Note that the required cutoff time may vary by Amazon store. In addition, for orders on the UK site, sellers will be required to use a shipping method that supports pickup on at least one weekend (Saturday or Sunday) to remain eligible for Seller Fulfilled Prime.
The above policy changes will take effect on June 30, 2021 in the UK, France and Spain. They will take effect on July 26, 2021 in Italy.
In addition, there is a valid tracking rate (VTR) policy: Amazon is adding a valid tracking rate (VTR) policy to improve customer visibility into shipment tracking. For orders fulfilled by non-prime sellers, you will need to provide the name of the shipping service provider and delivery service you use during shipping confirmation, as well as a valid tracking ID using the tracking shipping method. In addition, you must also achieve a valid tracking rate (VTR) of 95%.
The above changes will take effect on April 19, 2021. Amazon Platform |
