The cuteness of plush toys is accompanied by the risk of cuts
Parker Squared is recalling about 3,000 of its Shepherd Boy plush toys with a staff sold in the U.S. and Canada because the wires in the toy's staff could be exposed, posing a laceration hazard .
The company has received 12 reports of the shepherd's fabric unravelling and exposing the wire, including one report showing the sharp edges of the exposed wire, but no injuries have been reported.
The doll in question is a 12-inch tall, fabric-wrapped shepherd boy plush toy. The toy image is an orange-haired shepherd boy wearing a white base shirt and a red vest, a green belt around the waist, and sandals on the feet.
The toy was produced in a Chinese factory and was sold on The Shepherds Treasure official website and Amazon from November 2020 to January 2021, with a price of about US$16.
Parker Squared advises consumers to stop using the toy immediately and contact Shepherd's Treasure, which will refund the full price of the Shepherd Boy plush toy in the form of a gift certificate.
In addition to plush toys, even the beds we sleep on are dangerous, and 8,000 bed frames have been urgently recalled.
Bed frames are prone to collapse, causing consumers to be anxious and unable to sleep
American consumers have been having sleepless nights lately because they don't know when the bed frame they're lying on will collapse.
Several of the now-recalled bed frames sold at popular furniture stores such as Mattress Firm and American Furniture Warehouse have collapsed , and the US Consumer Product Safety Commission said the faulty hardware could cause serious injury or even death .
More than 80,000 of these bed frames were sold across the U.S. , and the company that owned them, Global Home Imports, didn't actually recycle them. Instead, it distributed repair kits to consumers, which they had to use to reinforce their beds so they wouldn't collapse in the middle of the night .
The recall is extensive, covering a total of six bed frame models, ranging in size from cribs to queen beds. They are sold under the Bed Bed brand and are model numbers HR33, HR33XL, HR46, HR50, HR60 and HR66. According to the recall notice, these bed frames were sold across the United States from April 2020 to January 2021 and cost about $200 .
The company said there have been no reports of injuries from bed frames collapsing, but at least 100 customers have complained that their beds have actually collapsed .
The recall alert also points out that consumers should stop using this type of bed frame in time to avoid falling from the bed due to collapse, resulting in head and limb injuries.
This bed frame is sold on platforms such as Amazon, Walmart, and eBay , but is now completely off the shelves .
Sellers need to pay attention to product quality issues when selling related products to avoid greater losses due to risks. Product Recall Shepherd Boy Plush Toy Global Home Imports Bed Frame |
