What is FBS(Fulfiled by Souq)? FBS(Fulfiled by Souq) Review, Features

FBS (Fulfilled by Souq) is the official warehousing and distribution system of SOUQ, which means that the store's products are directly stored in SOUQ's official warehouse. Once an order is placed, SOUQ will ship the goods to the buyer, and the delivery time is 3 working days.

About FBS

FBS service is a one-stop logistics service provided by SOUQ, including warehousing, picking and packing, delivery, payment collection, customer service and return processing. FBS is similar to Amazon's FBA. The advantage of FBS is that the FBS logo is displayed on the product window, and the traffic is better than self-delivery under the same circumstances.

Advantages

1. Increase product exposure on SOUQ.

2. Products are marked as "SOUQ Dropshipping" with a special badge on the website and app.

3. Highest quality inspection, storage, selection and automatic packaging of products according to the standards when customers order.

4. Customer service returns are processed in the local language.

5. Products will be eligible for warranty, customer pickup, and international shipping.

FBS Fees

1. Pending delivery service fee (fixed fee per unit based on actual weight).

2. Storage Fee (per cubic foot per month – pro-rated).

Service Process

When uploading products, sellers can select the FBS service in the background. After receiving the confirmation email from SOUQ, the seller will contact SOUQ's logistics team to deliver the goods to the SOUQ warehouse on the specified delivery date. Subsequently, the sorting, packaging, and delivery are all handed over to SOUQ to execute, and the seller does not need to do anything, not even to confirm the order.

The difference between FBS and overseas warehouses

1. Product selection range

FBS prefers small, high-profit, and high-quality products. Therefore, there are weight restrictions on products (UAE cannot exceed 15kg, Saudi Arabia cannot exceed 10kg), while overseas warehouses have no restrictions, and large and heavy products are also suitable. Products that can enter FBS can definitely enter overseas warehouses, but products that enter overseas warehouses may not necessarily enter FBS warehouses. FBS is very strict in product selection and will have multiple aspects of control, so the return rate is much lower than that of products in overseas warehouses.

2. First-leg service

FBS will not provide sellers with first-leg customs clearance services. Some third-party overseas warehouse service providers will provide sellers with first-leg customs clearance services, and even one-stop services from delivery to warehouse.

3. Product support and promotion

If you choose the FBS service, SOUQ will increase the exposure of the seller's products, such as improving the seller's listing ranking, helping the seller grab the shopping cart, etc., which are all conducive to increasing the seller's store traffic and sales. If you choose an overseas warehouse, the seller needs to do internal and external promotion to increase the store's performance.

4. Storage costs

Compared with overseas warehouses, the cost of using FBS is relatively higher. However, for products entering FBS warehouses, sellers can increase the unit price of products to share the storage costs. If they enter overseas warehouses, they can lower the product price to attract customers. FBS warehousing requirements are relatively strict, requiring sellers to label the outer box and product labels before shipment. Overseas warehouse warehousing requirements are more flexible.

5. Risks of cargo storage

If the goods are placed in the FBS warehouse, their security is linked to the security of the SOUQ account. If there is a problem with the products sold in SOUQ and the account is closed, the goods placed in the FBS warehouse will also be temporarily sealed. If they are stored in overseas warehouses, there is no need to worry about this risk.
