TikTok UK Store launches pet products category

It is reported that TikTok Store in the UK has finally launched a pet supplies category. TikTok users can now buy pet supplies from well-known brands directly through the store.

On TikTok, pet-related videos have remained popular, demonstrating TikTok users' love for pets, and now they can finally purchase related products directly on the platform.

For pet product sellers, TikTok’s newly opened pet product category is undoubtedly a new opportunity that allows sellers to reach more potential consumers.

Speaking at ChannelX World earlier this month, TikTok's senior director of e-commerce operations, Patrick Normanson, said that in developed markets such as the UK, more than 60% of online sales come from mobile devices.

According to TikTok's data, the #TikTok狗 and #TikTok宠物 tags have received billions of views , but there are currently not enough pet-related videos on the platform to meet users' demand for such videos.

Additionally, Trick Normanson believes that it is critical for sellers to collaborate with creators (or cultivate internal creators).

“Creators can help brands communicate directly with their audiences, and brands can also use the creators’ fan base to quickly increase exposure. In addition, fans will trust the bloggers they follow, which makes it easier for brands to acquire new customers. It is understood that British TikTok users can now purchase pet-related products directly through TikTok stores, including pet snacks, accessories, food and other products. Well-known blogger Katylee Bailey (@k4tyl33) will participate in the launch of the pet supplies category.
