Meta cooperates with 3D advertisers to help sellers place 3D ads

According to foreign media reports, Meta ( formerly Facebook) has introduced 3D advertising to Facebook and Instagram through a partnership with e-commerce technology company Vntana , making it easier for brands and retailers to place 3D ads on its social media platforms .

Vntana said in its press release that Meta’s partnership with Vntana will allow brands to upload 3D models of their products to Meta ’s social media platforms and easily convert them into advertisements.

Unlike traditional advertising, 3D advertising is an interactive form of advertising that users can click and interact with. By clicking and dragging, they can view the product from all angles.

According to Vntana, most 3D image files are too large to fit in memory, and previously advertisers needed professionals to spend days reformatting 3D files to make them compatible with Meta's ad system.

Now, Vntana’s software automates this process, allowing brands to use Vntana to easily upload 3D files to platforms such as Facebook and Instagram and turn them into ads without the need for specialized technical knowledge or manpower in processing 3D images .

Not long ago, Meta partnered with augmented reality (AR) companies Modiface and PerfectCorp to help beauty and cosmetics brands more easily run 3D and AR ads.

“3D and AR in online advertising are the next frontier for brands looking to connect with consumers online,” said Ashley Crowder, co- founder and CEO of Vntana .

“Partnering with Meta to provide brands with 3D upload technology on its advertising platform is another step for Vntana to make 3D technology accessible to the retail industry ,” said Alex. “This technology brings benefits to both retailers and consumers as it allows consumers to better understand products.”

Meta   Reality   Chris, Head of Labs, Augmented Reality Business Development and Partnerships   “We know how important Facebook and Instagram’s advertising capabilities are for many brands looking to reach their target audiences,” Barbour added. “3D and AR open new advertising doors for retail and e-commerce brands and improve the customer experience from an information acquisition perspective.
