Headphones are commonly used and are used for a long time. If there is a safety problem, the consequences will be serious. On December 1, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) urgently recalled a wireless headset.
The reason for this recall is that the product may overheat during charging or use, posing a burn and fire hazard. The CPSC said it has received 61 reports of potential hazards in the product, including five fire reports and four minor burn reports.
From the recall content, the recall code is 22-023. The number of DE WALT Jobsite Pro wireless headphones involved in this recall is relatively large, totaling 301,800. The manufacturer codes included in this recall are D4 1910, D4 1912, D4 2003, D4 2004, D4 2006, D4 2009, D4 2011, D4 2012, D4 2101, D4 2103, etc.
The notice also reminded that some products without the above code are also included in the recall . It is reported that the headphones are sold in Home Depot and Lowe's stores in the United States for $60. Similar products can also be searched on Amazon, and consumers have mixed opinions on such products.
Some consumers said that the product is very good to use, firm and easy to wear, and the sound quality is also good. However, some consumers said that the same product they bought from Home Depot lasted a long time, but the one they bought from Amazon broke down after a short time.
In response, CPSC reminds consumers to stop using the wireless headset immediately, contact the importer in time, and return the product directly for a free replacement. The product was made in China, and a children's flashlight was also recalled on the same day.
If any seller is selling related products, they should remove them from the shelves in a timely manner to avoid safety issues and unnecessary trouble to themselves.
During the peak consumption season, CPSC has also made important reminders on product safety compliance. Both sellers and buyers should pay attention. It is understood that in the United States alone, the number of reports received due to toy problems in 2020 reached 150,000 . Judging from the products recalled in recent years, they mainly involve toys, household goods, sports products, electronic equipment, etc. USA earphone recall |
