Amazon has facilitated exports worth $3 billion from India in the past six years, a senior Amazon official said on Wednesday, and has set a goal of $10 billion in exports by 2025 .
Amazon India Global Trade Director Abhijit Kamra said that Amazon uses $1 billion as a measure of the growth of a project within Amazon . In terms of exports, it took three years for Indian-made products to reach the first billion dollars, 18 months to reach the second billion , and only 12 months to reach the third billion dollars .
To help Indian companies grow and expand their business, Amazon launched the Global Sales Advancement Program (AGSP) last year to attract exporters and startups. At the same time, Amazon also launched the second season of its Propel Startup Accelerator program, which aims to promote the export of Indian products and create global brands in the Indian market .
Amazon also plans to select emerging brands and startups from the Indian market and provide selected companies with a grant of $ 100,000 and a $10,000 Amazon Web Services credit. After that , these selected companies will establish connections with venture capital firms to improve their business status and attract more investment.
Kamra mentioned that exports from India can reach all countries in the world through the Amazon platform . In addition, Amazon is currently gradually attracting startups from second-tier and third-tier cities in India under the guidance of this plan .
Amit Agarwal, senior vice president of Amazon India , also said that Amazon has seen great interest, ideas and entrepreneurial spirit in the first phase of the development plan and will continue to launch the second phase of the plan . This is part of Amazon's commitment to help Indian companies of all sizes export and achieve India's $10 billion e-commerce export target by 2025 . policy Amazon Platform India |
